I didn't exactly mean by 'reusing the old stuff,' although I'm sure we're going to hear a facsimile rendition of the former score of Evangelion. The classic battle tune that we all hear in the series and films will (to my knowledge) be in the film(s), but re-composed and altered. Time has changed a lot since then, so I won't be surprised if the American film composing genre will be influenced in the new score; I'm talking about sounding like the guys at former Media Ventures (Hans Zimmer and crew). This is all speculation of course, we won't really know until we see it.
But that's just my $0.02 cents. /j Last edited by Arcwave; 2007-08-21 at 02:28. Reason: sentance incomplete |

I don't know if anyone else here knows what Be@rBrick's are, but I was in the DHPMhi store in London a few days ago and I saw that I could get this in a blindbox. Luckily for me, I got it in the first and only blind box I bought:

A 'Rei' Be@rBrick now that's interesting. Well, the rebuild comes out on my birthday. I guess that's something to celebrate. I just wish I snap my fingers and be in Japan to see it. I'm really curious to see how the new films are going to compare to the old series. But I better keep my hyperness to a minimum or I'll hype myself out.

Yeah, they are part of the Kubrick's line.
I really want to watch it asap. I don't care if it's some grainy cinema recording, I want it NOW. Edit: Don't know if these have been posted yet: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=28unLdDt2sY http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Yif6fvmRamM http://www.emimusic.jp/hikki/beautifulworld/ I'm sure they have though. Can't wait to see the movies!
But can anyone eat out of this thing? Spoiler for Yummy!:
It's the "Eva Course" plate being shown at the "Eva at Work" exhibition just now. Makes meals look oh-so-tasty no? http://www.gainax.co.jp/eaw/index.html

I apologize if this is common knowledge, I'm just a bit lazy.
What's the run time on this? Of all the series I've ever had love/hate relationships with, Eva is the only one that I think could really benefit from a tighter story with better pacing. Movies seem like the perfect way of accomplishing that, especially if they aren't something ridiculous like 3 hours long each. Hahaha.

Lucky I haven't bought the current DVD set yet because otherwise, I'll probably end up buying a third set of EVA discs thanks to some of these interesting changes. Already own the whole VCD set from around 10 years ago so I had been thinking of buying the higher quality DVDs

Well if you go to the link and read the first paragraph it also says this:
" for the 2008 sequel with more redesigned EVA units and a previously unanimated female character. Specifically, the first EVA units will have a new backpack attachment for an aerial drop sequence (analogous to the scene in episode 9 of the series), the EVA-04 unit is hinted to appear for the first time in animation, a new mono-eyed EVA-05 design will appear, and the EVA-06 will feature a completely new design as well. The new character is an eyeglasses-wearing, brunette girl. The preview's narrator, Kotono Mitsuishi as the character Misato Katsuragi, promised more fan "service-service" in the second movie. (Evangelion: 1.0 had partial nudity.)"
