I'm thinking it might be more of a case that Goku doesn't die due to Raditz due to Yamcha helping in that fight.

Spoiler for Chapter summary:

The manga begins with an ordinary boy who is a fan of Dragon Ball, he accidentally gets himself killed when he falls down stairs trying to get near a girl. Immediately afterwards, he finds himself reincarnated as Yamcha (during the Emperor Pilaf Saga), after getting his bearings Yamcha realizes that with his knowledge of events that are to come (such as his death by a Saibaman) he can change history, this leads to him going to train with Roshi immediately with Goku.

By the time of the Saiyan conflict Yamcha has managed to become much stronger than he had in the original story and so defeats the Saibamen by himself, even managing to survive multiple Saibamen grabbing onto him and Self Destruction. Thanks to surviving the Saiyan conflict, he also goes to Namek during the Battle of Namek, and gets his potential unlocked by Grand Elder Guru.

Basically they skipped most scene and only go to the important point after the boy awakened in Yamcha body we jump into Saiyan saga where Yamcha did beter against Saibamen there is no any further story tell if Yamcha fight Vegeta or not nor fight Raditz, the chapter ended at Yamcha get power from Elder Guru.
Chapter 1 sound teaser for me, i wonder if in chapter 2 we will see the continuation of Namek saga or the author will put the ball back on skimming in Saiyan saga in Yamcha mode.

PS: if this manga faires ok is there a possibility for a uprising trend of spin-off mangas where real life people fall into their favorite comics?

for example a girl that loves the naruto-story falls into the series after dying and awakens in sakuras body (or hinatas, it depends if she liked sasuke or naruto )
a boy who loves one piece died and got reborn in the body of ace
or one of the hardcore tokyo ghoul fans dies and awakens in kanekis body
or a bleach-fan dies and awakens in the body of the artifical-soul puppet (Kon or so)
and thousands of other possibilitys

The only obstacle are copyright because they need respectives mangaka permission to do so, doujin probably the most safest way for this new trend only it wouldn't be official like Yamcha spin off.
Although it possible to realize through legal way, the authors only need to find an idea where they could implement this idea in form original but closely same in Yamcha pattern.

the spin off is totally gold mine, its hilarious and awesome at the same time

but i want to know how the author going to approach this spin off

1. is "yamcha" in this spin off will take any chance to become strong?

or

2. "yamcha" in this spin off is a good guy overall, want to be strong and still be faithful with the dbz history

this is quite important because if the author going for step 1, "yamcha" could just play it dirty like kill cell while in larva, destroy android lab, basically dont let goku get his power up so often and let "yamcha" get all the glory

step 2 will make "yamcha" do stuff to get power up but still letting goku as the main char basically try not to alter the dbz history.... but, "yamcha" will become matter and important character along the dbz history like when goku up against freeza, "yamcha" also together side by side with goku, cell games? "yamcha" actually got choose to fight instead of gohan, something like that

honestly i hope the author going for step 2 because its look more fun that way

i am guessing this will end at 3-5 volume and yeah i also found the story went too fast.
I don't know why maybe the author want to focus on Yamcha struggle in after frieza saga because that's the whole turnback for Yamcha life.

Really hope that chapter 2 is the real beginning and chapter 1 is just a pilot chapter-ish.

I know this is a parody but I want to see "Yamcha" train and get as far as he shows.

And him getting respect too besides the readers.
