Here is the draft on how (some) women in society act in "IS:What lies in shadows" along with some Tatenashi and Irish humor.

POV:"Irish"

'Damn that Sarashiki, can't believe she managed to make me come with her.'

"Hey! Hurry up Irish-kun!" she yelled to me.

'Wonder if I'll get a new partner if she gets caught in an "accident".'

Choosing to put those thoughts on the back of my head (I didn't want to risk losing my shot at freedom just yet) I chose to follow her to whatever store she was going to.

Time skip: 30 minutes later

"...Hey"

"What, is something wrong?"

"We've walked past all the shops for food and supplies earlier already"

"What's your point?" She said as she stopped walking and turned to look at me.

"I thought you were shopping for necessities? We already passed all the shops that sell those"

"I didn't say I was gonna go grocery shopping" she said with a smirk on her face (Uh-oh). "Besides, food isn't the only necessity we'll need you know"

'Speak for yourself, it's what keeps you alert to possible attacks'

"Then where ARE we going then?"

"Hehe, you'll see" she said with a smile.

With a sudden bounce to her step she started to walk again towards whatever shop she was going to.

'I have a feeling I'm walking right into an ambush'

Time skip: 10 minutes later.

"We're here"

Looking up I saw that we had stopped in front of a clothing store.

"Why do you need more clothes? Don't you wear your uniform most days anyway?"

"You'll find out later, lets just go inside"

Walking inside the store I felt my heart nearly stop at what I saw inside.

"What's wrong? why'd you stop?" I hear her say from inside the store.

There, right in front of me, were rows upon rows filled with women's garments along with multiple people moving to and from the fitting rooms.

'Thats it! she's gonna get an "accident" later!'

"Hey! stop getting ecchi thoughts and hurry up!"

"I'm not going in there" I say as I stand outside of the door.

"Yes you are, I have to take you with me or command's gonna go ballistic"

"Should've thought of that before you decided to go underwear shopping"

"Hurry up already, I don't wanna have to drag you in here"

'Lets see here: I either be reasonable and go in with her to that damned shop or I run away and not die of a heart attack. Decisions decisions.'

"I'm outta here"

With a running start I turned my back towards her and ran as fast as I could away from the dreaded location.

'I don't care if I stay in a prison cell, I'd rather be there than risk going into THAT hellhole.' I thought as I continued to run.

*CRASH*

Without realizing It, I had crashed into somebody.

"...Sorry" I mumbled as I got up from the person.

"You should be! I can't believe one of you actually touched me" A shrill voice cried out.

Looking in front of me I saw a woman who looked to be in her late teens to early twenties sprawled out on the floor.

'What the hell's her problem?'

Choosing to avoid having to talk more to the woman altogether, I tried to turn and walk away.

"Hey! Aren't you forgetting something?" she said before I could walk away.

"What is it?"

"Apologize for what you did" She demanded as she stood up from the floor.

"I already did" I say as my voice gets more and more tense.

"Do it properly"

"What do you mean?"

"Get on your knees and beg" She said as if it was the most simplest thing in the world.

"Go to hell, I'm not gonna bow down to you"

"If you don't, I'll call the police" She said with a sadistic smile on her face. "What do you think they'll do if I told them you assaulted me?"

"There are people all over here, they wouldn't believe you"

"Who do you think they'll believe? The men here will probably vouch for you but the police won't take they're words over mine"

'She's right, no way out of this now. Guess I have no choice then'

Without any other choice I kneeled down on the floor and bowed my head in apology.

"I'm.....sorry" I force myself to say through gritted teeth.

"You should be you little pest"

Without warning she started kicking me while I was on the floor.

‘Need to calm down, if I attack her I’ll just get in more trouble’

"You need to learn proper respect you DOG!"

Hearing the word dog had caused my anger to flare and before I knew what was happening I stood up and placed the knife I hid in my jacket against her throat.

"What are you doing!?" she asked in a panicked voice.

"A dog can bite back" was all I said to her question.

"FREEZE!"

Looking to my right I saw that a police officer had arrived at the scene and was pointing his gun at me.

"Put the weapon down, and step away from the woman" he said with his gun trained on me.

...

Letting go of the woman, I dropped the knife to the ground and put my hands up in surrender.

Time skip:20 minutes later

I was placed under arrest for assault and about to be taken to the police station for questioning.

"EXCUSE ME!" A voice suddenly yelled.

The cop in front of me heard the call and turned around to look. Running towards us was a blue haired girl in an IS academy uniform.

'Sarashiki? What's she doing here?'

"I'm taking custody of that person"

Location: Cafe

Sarashiki had managed to (somehow) get me out of being arrested and led me to a cafe so we could talk.

"So, what happened?"

...

"Your gonna have to tell me sooner or later"

"I attacked someone"

"Why?"

"I bumped into someone and she made me go on my knees and apologize, then she started kicking me for good measure"

"You can't be impulsive anymore Irish. I know it's not easy, but you'll have to let these things slide from now on."

"I know it's not fair and that woman should've been the one who was arrested but things have changed and we have to adapt to it"

'Adapt? Easy for her to say, she's not the one who has to go through all this shit.'

"I need you to promise that you'll be careful from now on"

“Promise me”

"...I'll try my best"

"I'll have to accept that for now, come on we're not finished with the trip just yet"

Standing up, she led the way out of the Cafe.

"Where are we going?"

"Back to that store, and I'm making SURE this time that you’re not running away"

Please comment if the imbalance is a bit too strong or not. I'll tone it down if it's overboard.

The woman would not escape that one if only Irish keep silent and not using that knife (it's really a physical assault), but since he used it anyway...you portrayed it the way I think about it.

Remember, most women aren't like that, and only 0.5% looked down on men (The Lingerie scene in Novel), and less than 0.001% is BITCHES (my and your fic portrayal). Make it just occasional, random occurrence. (Based on a Paper by Dan Gotanda, would be incorporated)

Tatenashi better not pressed him into drag further because that would be bad for her portrayal, better make sure the woman 'paid a good price' instead.

Except if Tatenashi made him cross-dressing AFTER punishing the woman for make her boytoy miserable, Irish unable to refuse because he owed Tatenashi

@ZeroXSEED - Completely disregarded underage assault as a possibility, sorry about that.
BTW Tatenshi didn't bring him there to make him crossdress, she was shopping for herself but "Irish" made a fuss cause there were too many females and he was worried he might get a panic attack so he ran, he won't crossdress until a mission later and even then he'll only do it cause he's being ordered to for a mission.
Don't worry, I don't plan to have females act as re-occurring aggressors but I will show how the male social standing has hit the toilet in the current timeframe there (It's mentioned by Ichika that males pretty much became second-class citizens with the introduction of the IS).

White Knight Incident happened 10 years prior to the story, so Chifuyu and Tabane is 14 at the time.

Amazingly, nobody is killed despite the wanton destruction to average country's equivalent worth of naval forces.

Might as well do some retcon (like me), or just made your own timeframe. EthernalRain for once, made Tabane and Chifuyu REALLY-REALLY OLD, as Tabane gave birth to Kyuukai when she's in her twenties and already graduated from college.


However fridge logic will ask: How old is Houki's parents if Tabane is already in her 40s? Swear god! Kyuukai is even older than Houki (17 years).

That goes for you to, Eratas. If you took Canon timeframe, you can't have Tabane as Kyuukai's biological mother...unless we're talking about unusual style of...ahem, human conception.

But Tabane didn't give birth to Kyuukai, His real mom was killed and she adopted him. The biggest problem I have is the fact that I don't know how to make Irish NOT murder Tabane upon seeing her considering she's the creator of the IS. I also don't know how to stage a kidnapping without making it too overdramatic and impractical.

Well, for all I know, Charlotte has a weapon that has potential to get through the IS frame. It's the Shield Pierce, or known as Gray Scale, on her Raphael-Revive Custom II. Or you can watch Episode 7 in the anime to see Laura, Cecilia and Rin in their 2-on-1 fight.

But if you're not sure, then I suggest that you make one of your own.

You ask me? Easy. Just make something that has the power output of an IS weapon.

If I can compare what's been shown in the anime, Laura's 21mm (.88 inch) HEAVY railgun has power output slightly surpassing 127mm Rheinmetal cannon of modern weaponry (I judged it from the explosion and destruction caused by it on the arena).

IS barrier being invulnerable? BULLSHIT. I always imagine that antitank missile like Hellfire was sufficient to at the least reduce some shield point, probably around 20-50 point.

I refrained myself from doing this because imagine how much enraged fanboy will protest at me.

In the first place, IS' greatest assets is their mobility. They can run easily at supersonic, and sometimes hypersonic. However, unlike jet fighters, they're not limited by G-forces, or just very resistant to it. Adding the fact an IS is tiny compared to those hulking machines, IS is damn hard target to hit. So, Tank cannon and anti-ship missile simply has no chance to HIT it, bar doing some damage.

Before you argue about ShiroKishi slashing ICBM around, no modern nuke was designed with impact detonation, all of them undergo complex arming sequence. Even if you blow the hell out of them, all you can do is spill it's radioactive cargo.

As far as we knew, there's no depiction of IS being hit by dedicated ANTI-ARMOR weapon. All it does is some pesky anti aircraft missile (well, who exactly sane enough would use antitank warhead in SAM and AAM? Tabane is crazy) and some medium caliber autocannon (20-30mm). Clearly, we never knew what the result if it's being hit by a Tank cannon or Cruise missile.

My useless rant aside, Natasha is using some sort of anti-IS portable weapon in the V6 chapter 1. Unless Natasha is some sort of superhuman with implanted IS core, then we can assume that there's some sort of Anti-IS weapon that not been powered by IS core, and could be wielded by normal human.

How would it feel breaking, breaking those ribs? At the instant she thought that evil thought, an arrow of light pierced her right shoulder.

"Wh....at!?"

At the moment she tried to pull out the feather-shaped energy arrow, it exploded spectacularly.

"Che!?"

Right before hitting the wall from the shock of the explosion, M rotated her body, and fired her thruster the other way.

But, the enemy didn't miss that half-second of stillness.

*Byuin!*

The next arrow attack was launched and exploded at her feet this time.

Even M, who was used to high-altitude high-speed braking mechanisms, couldn't completely evade this attack. It was an error caused by her self-conceit.

"You..."

"Natasha Fairs, citizen of the USA, IS test pilot. And also [Silverio Gospel]'s registered pilot."

Even while talking, the counter-attack didn't slow even a bit.

Both her hands held something that looked like a wing, and had a clear silver coating.

[Silver Bell] no.1 prototype, hand cannon version.

Natasha was using only her own strength to shoot the weapon over and over again, which when looked at in terms of output only, surpasses even the latest armament provided with the [Silverio Gospel].

While releasing Energy Shot, her beautiful blond hair scattered from the strength of the recoil, dancing intensely and beautifully.

"I won't give you that child....!"

As you see though, her weapon is semi-automatic, instead of rapid firing/ barrage like Gospel's. So, the amount of energy needed would be large enoug. Even then, the possibility is limitless. Not to mention Chifuyu is able to use a real, IS weapon (which judging the length and size, I assume it would weight at least 10-20 kg).

Have our anti-villains bringing new type of high powered missile launcher or beam cannon (or in case of Irish, an I.S. scale beam dagger), and since most people are too cocky to admit conventional weapon is still effective, they'll be caught of guard.

Thanks for the reply Zero. Having them use a rocket launcher and the IS pilots being too proud to even try to dodge would seem plausible.
Last question for now- Can Ichika's beam saber attack and hurt human beings? I plan to have him fight "Irish" in the chapter but it'll be pointless if his weapon won't affect "Irish" and he just starts bombarding Ichika with bullets and bombs till the fight's over. I want to make a balanced fight.
