Unfortunately, that's most likely not going to happen. It'd be awesome no doubt. Robot Damashii Gipsy Danger? Hell yes I'd buy one. But the Robot Spirits line doesn't seem to include western mecha.

What pet peeves were those? That mecha cockpits are supposed to be impossible jet seats where the complex motions of a bipedal machine are controlled through foot pedals and throttle slides?

Yep. Del Toro posted a message at the beginning of the May stating that the marketing campaign had begun, albeit a bit slowly. I'm sure after the Man of Steel hits theaters, it'll be all things Pacific Rim for the month of June.
