if what i'm predicting gonna happen, then i can see this serie going a little "full battle shounen and after that weebo defeat it will trigger the "dark cooking chiefs" to "attack the school" and we gonna get some nast minion guys come until the "dark master chiefs come and start the war, we gonna see some of the school elite loosing and probably soma will awaken his super cooking master ki(SS) .

The chapter shows again that nothing too serious will ever happen in this manga, in the end it's all played for laughs. Ya'll better accept it or just give up.

Okay, so, not only did we got a 4-months timeskip, some plot about "underground chefs" out of nowhere, now those underground chefs also happen to be rather incompetent too.

To think I thought this manga would improve after Azami left. Cant Jump give Tsukuda a good editor? Things are getting too ridiculous.

How does that make the guy look incompetent at all. It wasn't even a Shokugeki.

Man, there's so many wrong things in this post I don't even know where to start. Have people already forgotten this started with the protagonist making meat out of potato starch to kick out some pestering guys dressed in suits?

This manga has never played drama for real, how come you didn't expect this to happen is beyond me. What happened to the foreigner is no different than when Mimasaka who up until then had been portrayed as a really nasty mofo, gave us this gem:

And let's not also forget how Shinomiya changed his mind after tasting Megumi's dish, because it just happened to made him realize he was falling back in his cooking. Again, how's that any different from what we got there? You're forgetful.

Don't bother replying me, I know what you're going to say and I don't give a damn. At this point I'm already used to it and is clear to me that some of you are going to keep nitpicking no matter what.

And yeah, it really wasn't a Shokugeki. Megumi just needed to satisfy the foreigner with her cooking, which she just did.

If this is a set up for the BLUE, then Megumi is going to have plenty of opportunities to show her worth. It would be hilarious if now she's an elite the tables turned and she started getting one win after another.

Being in the Elite 10 also means having a target on your back, doesn't it? Megumi must've already had plenty of challenges from people trying to take her seat, and her having managed to keep it would in that case show her skill.

Have to agree with you on this. If the "underground chefs" are meant to be the main antagonist for the upcoming major arc, then the author had failed to build the hype for them. If you read enough battle manga, most of the evil organizations tend to leave a big impact and impression (like they are a bunch of unbeatable monsters) to the readers even though most of them don't live up to the hype on later. Meanwhile, in SnS, the first "underground chef" member is literally a giant baby.

It is really hard to take Midnight Monarch and "underground chefs" serious when the weakest of the Elite 10 can impress and beat Midnight Monarch with a freaking kid's meal set in his own game. I sincerely think that Megumi is trolling him so hard at here.

Indeed. Just look at these chapters. Instead of having her vs the midnight monarch in a duel, the writer went for an easy route for Megumi by making the midnight monarch into a judge. It is always easy to make someone who is infinitely stronger than you to say "Hmm..it is delicious" than making a better dish than your competitor's dish ala shokugeki.

What's so fun watching Megumi got stomped and losing her seat? The things may go like this:

Megumi being Elite 2 for less than a week, and then Alice, Kurokiba, Hayama and other students came to challenge her and stomp out of her to the point her seat keep dropping to Elite 10 and on the edge of losing her seat. So in order to defend the Elite 10 seat, she found out the best way to defend her seat is by not accepting the challenge, and that is where the vacation trip comes. You can't challenge someone who is not there.

I personally wouldn't jump the gun just yet. Not really surprising that the first encounter with a Dark Chef is a letdown, because the weaboo might be just one of the weakest among those guys.

There's a possibility that Erina may underestimate the Dark Chefs based on this incident, only for the real top-ranked Dark Chefs to give Totsuki a shocker later on.

To be fair. this very weaboo was quickly dealt by the weakest among Tootsuki Elite too.

The only way for the author to correct this is to claim that the weaboo is just an untalented trainee of the underground chef that only learn to cook for 1 month.

As for Megumi, I wonder if she has reached Momo's level which would be amazing since she's only 10th seat.

well it's still not enough for me to call her a "main character", it's like fairy tail natsu team, while the whole team have a lot of screen time, the main characters aways where natsu lucy and at best happy, the same goes for DB while others characters can get a good ammount of screentime the main character still "goku" in the end, them for me soma and erina and i'm not talking about "romance" it's just they are the ones which aways clicked me as "main characters.
