Gundam series help!

Hey I'm new here. I've been a Gundam fan since Gundam Wing came on Cartoon network. I then got into the 08th MS Team ,Mobile Suit Gundam, and G Gundam. So I wanted to start buying the dvd collections of different series to watch, and was wandering what suggestions you guys might have? The 8th MS Team and Mobile suit Gundam are my favorite so maybe you can help pick knowing the style I like better.

I've seen all of G Gundam.

I've seen all of The 08th Ms Team

I've seen most of mobile suit Gundam, but it has been awhile and I've forgotten most of it.

I've seen an episode or 2 of Stardust Memory.

So any suggestions on a good series to watch?

Gundam SEED is very similar to the original series, though it's more modernised with newer ideas, characters, animation, etc.
If you like the original Gundam series that much, I would suggest you continue onto its sequels: Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, and Victory Gundam. Char's Counterattack and F91 are two movies that also fit into the timeline between ZZ Gundam and Victory Gundam you'll want to see.
The most recent Gundam series (Gundam 00) is similar to Wing except with a giant increase in production values (obvious, given its airing a decade later), a better focus on characters, and a less repetitive story with twists, turns, and wartime drama. (Overall, just superior in my opinion.)

SEED Destiny? are you drunk? your suggestion is gonna make that person vomit.

like that dude said above my post, watch Zeta Gundam for a great sequel of the original. I would also recommend Gundam X because it has a stand alone story that's easy to follow. Gundam 00? why not.. good series overall. this is a good chance to watch season 1 before season 2 starts in October but i gotta warn you, the first 4 eps are a bit sluggish. if you can get past through those eps then you'll enjoy the rest of the series.

Just because you don't like it does not mean the whole world doesnt like it.

-I personally thought destiny was sub-par.-

I loved it, good plot, characters, mechas, etc. The start is slow, yeah, but once the real plot kicks in, it turns out to be awesome.

Apart from the U.C titles (Zeta was the best, IMO), watch Turn A Gundam, it's not for everyone, but damn I loved it. I will warn you that isn't anything like most of the other Gundam titles.

And as somebody metioned, Gundam 00 was pretty good, also the second season starts in October!

I'm guessing Gundam X and Turn A Gundam were not released on dvd, or am I not looking hard enough?

Neither of them have english releases, no.

Also, Turn A Gundam is the best Gundam.

So a subtitled torrent is the only option for those series?

Pretty much as I really don't see it getting incensed. Also what about 0080 War In Pocket? I thought it was a pretty good though it wasn't really my type of show.

Ok guys I've decided I'm going to go with Z gundam. Could anyone help me out on which to get.

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Anime Legends Vol 1 and 2

or the

Mobile Suit Z Gundam Complete Collection DVD?

It dosen't really list any differences.

Whatever's cheaper and/or more aesthetically pleasing, I suppose. I can't imagine they would be very different.
I'd probably go with the Complete Collection for the sole reason of it being called a "complete collection", though.

finish gundam 0083, most of the newer gundam shows like SEED and 00 are just a rehash from the older series.

do NOT watch ZZ gundam

try the Crossbone Gundam manga series, you will get addicted to it.

it is set in U.C. 0133 between Gundam F91 & V-Gundam, enjoy.
