I think once you get to the college/professional level allot of the cheer leaders teams start going for twp piece outfits and dump the skirts for short shorts. Don't know why the uniforms on google image are different than youtube though. Maybe it's seasonal.

And in real life skirt wearers performing athletic maneuvers don't have the benefit of the magic skirt.

Seeing how he dragged Kyonko out as a playboy bunny...and while relatively conservative the North high cheer leader uniform is pretty flattering. I'm not sure how Haruki has some kind of aversion to flaunting his petite girlfriend underling at least a little.

Though I could imagine after taking inspiration to get Kyonko and Itsuko into some saucier cheerleader outfits, would get a bit freaked by some of the undivided attention she was getting from other guys. He'd probably react by throwing his coat onto Kyonko and extradite her from the area while he had Itsuko distract all the hormone ridden males.

It had started slowly, with little dots of light and color here and there. I had thought the world was returning to sanity, but instead... as the rest of humanity slowly popped into existence, I found myself trapped in Haruhiland.

It really did feel like an amusement park. The city I grew up in had become too bright, too colorful, too alive. Even the rain is shining brightly, giving off cheer instead of melancholy. It's like she views the world through a kaleidoscope.

But I don't think even Haruhi imagines that thing being in the sky.

Looming over Haruhi City is a massive black shape. Its otherwise featureless face is dotted with two massive white eyes and a smile as wide and wicked as the crescent moon.

It's Him.

...I'd like to ask. What would you do in this situation? What could you do?

I feel a hand on my shoulder, as Haruhi, the real Haruhi, sits down next to me. ...If she were to wander away, I might never find her again.

Who knows. He might bring up at times where Kyonko feels strangely indebted to him, say for making him worry (end of disappearance arc). Or he might conspire with Itsuko to spring a trap some where it would be awkward for Kyonko to put up her usual resistance that got her out of the mess.

It had started slowly, with little dots of light and color here and there. I had thought the world was returning to sanity, but instead... as the rest of humanity slowly popped into existence, I found myself trapped in Haruhiland.

It really did feel like an amusement park. The city I grew up in had become too bright, too colorful, too alive. Even the rain is shining brightly, giving off cheer instead of melancholy. It's like she views the world through a kaleidoscope.

But I don't think even Haruhi imagines that thing being in the sky.

Looming over Haruhi City is a massive black shape. Its otherwise featureless face is dotted with two massive white eyes and a smile as wide and wicked as the crescent moon.

It's a good thing there weren't any really close couples on the street right then. Kyon might not be able to stop staring.

Road worker jiji Haruhi is hilarious. It's also likely more in character than the other Haruhis', especially if that one whistles at passing girls.

Kyon should suspect if someone is spiking him with hallucinogens. Is MK ULTRA still active? What if Haruhi suspects that Kyon is a substance abuser, and stages an intervention. Kyon should feel, "ain't that ironic"?

Tsundere filling in-between chunks of apocalypse. What's not to love? I love how nothing seems to be going right for Kyon, except for tough love. Reminds me of Shinji.
