Fairy Tail, along with Nanatsu no Taisai, UQ Holder, and a number of other series runs in Weekly Shounen Magazine.

Kenichi, Magi, Silver Spoon, Detective Conan, and so forth run in Weekly Shounen Sunday.

One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, Toriko, and so on run in Weekly Shounen Jump.

All three are competing magazines owned by different publishers.

Shounen Jump is officially out in Japan on Mondays. Shounen Magazine, and Shounen Sunday are officially out in Japan on Wednesdays.

We get chapters and spoilers for Jump on Wednesdays not because the issue has been out for a couple days, but because the issue has started printing and distribution, and is leaked and scanned for the internet. Likewise, we gets chapters and spoilers for Magazine and Sunday on Fridays/the weekend not because the issues have been out for a few days, but because they've started printing and distribution and the issues are leaked and scanned. In short, for the most popular series, including Fairy Tail, we get scanlations of them up to 5 days before they are actually out in Japan.

So, with that in mind the official release schedule for the three recently has been:

Weekly Shounen Jump issues:

#20 - 4/14/14 - contains One Piece 744, Naruto 672, Bleach 576, Toriko 273, etc.
#21 - 4/21/14 - contains Naruto 673, Bleach 577, Toriko 274, etc.
#22/23 - 4/28/14 - contains One Piece 745, Naruto 674, Bleach 578, Toriko 275, etc.
#24 - 5/12/14 - contains One Piece 746, Naruto 675, Bleach 579, Toriko 276, etc

Weekly Shounen Magazine issues:

#20 - 04/16/14 - contains Fairy Tail 380, UQ Holder 31, Nanatsu no Taizai 73
#21/22 - 4/23/14 - contains Fairy Tail 381, UQ Holder 32, Nanatsu no Taizai 74
#23 - 5/07/14 - contains Fairy Tail 382, UQ Holder 33, Nanatsu no Taizai 75
#24 - 5/14/14 - contain Fairy Tail 383, UQ Holder 34, Nanatsu no Taizai 76

Weekly Shounen Sunday issues:

#20 - 4/16/14 - contains Kenichi 565
#21 - 4/23/14 - contains Kenichi 566
#22/23 - 4/30/14 - contains Kenichi 567
#24 - 5/14/14 - contains Kenichi 568

As you can see, WSS, and WSJ scheduled their double issue one week later than WSM. The result being that WSJ and WSS series came out as normal last week, while no WSM series came out. This week it's the reverse with WSM series coming out as normal, while WSJ and WSS series do not come out.

However, due to the fact that their goal is to get everything done and out the door to the printer so they can vacation without worry about deadlines, the next issue after a double issue can leak early. Hence us getting chapter 382 today instead of on Friday.

The bottom line is that not that Fairy Tail is different from "all the other manga magazines" it's that there are three major weekly manga magazines, and Fairy Tail runs in a different one than all the other series you happen to be thinking of. And said magazine is on a different schedule than the other two.

I just read a lot of chapters in the latest arc since I was kind of behind. I like this arc a lot. The anime accomplished its job for me already and already made me want to go back to continue reading the manga lol... Those were some pretty emotional chapters, though my favorite was when Wendy got pink hair... that was pretty badass...

lol a 1 in a billion chance to escape that spell... what luck. Poor Lucy. I can't wait to see this. Also, I originally thought end was Achnologia or might be related to Achnologia, but I guess I might be wrong now... though maybe not... I liked hearing earlier thought that Igneel couldn't beat Acnologia (I know earlier chapter)... and the Tartaros head is so annoying... I'm also confused as to whether Silver will be fought after Tartaros's head or before... since he doesn't seem to respect him that much... I'm really liking this arc.

That Mira vs. Sayla chapter bored the hell out of me, but since the chapter with Mira's flashbacks my interest for this arc has once again gained speed. The momentum was even enough to overcome the part where Elfman won with a one-shot against Sayla. I'm nervous and at the same time excited for Lucy. Nervous, because Mashima might just pull another disappointing act. Damn, here's to hoping Mashima won't disappoint.

Looks like the next couple of chapters are gonna be a solo act for Lucy. I really hope that it doesn't disappoint.

No, Weekly Shounen Magazine, and Weekly Shounen Sunday both release on Wednesdays. They simply picked different weeks to place their double issue. As you can see in the schedules I posted above, WSS released their double issue during Golden Week, while WSM released theirs the week prior. All three magazines are giving their employees Golden Week itself off. They're simply taking different philosophies as to the work load around it.

And Golden Week does not start on Wednesday and end on Tuesday. Golden Week is the stretch from April 29th, to May 5th. Which this year would be Tuesday to Monday.

yeah next issue come next week normally we get a release this week too early due to the early leak, no release tomorrow(we already get one this week) but next friday we gonna get one.

You miss my point. Jump released on Monday the 28th. Golden Week started on Tuesday the 29th. Sunday released on Wednesday the 30th. There's no rule about one day before the start of Golden Week or anything like that. It's all about when a particular magazine opts to place their double issue, which can change from year to year.

Indeed he was wrong. Golden Week is a specific set of holidays with fixed dates. You can read a bit more about it here and here.

i'm not say rule, i'm say who since the magazine release still off the golden week means who their gonna release it, if the golden week started on the monday then no release during that week, obvious their can opt for take a break and not release, but is not something who gonna happen every golden week, if the golden week start on a friday their obvious gonna release their works.

since this week the golden week started on tuesday, then they decided to release in the day date( or at last the leak happened as usually in the right day).

Hijacking telepathy frequencies is actually possible o_0 Has it happened before? Can't say I remember much of Warren's panel time. Kyoka getting punished was quite legit, Marde Guilles (or Geer/Gear/whatever) is the serious type of opponent...they usually throw a fit when they go down :P Even more so for him, since he considers humans lower than lower than dirt.

Suddenly, the floating cube is !PLOT TWIST! a monster and FT enters the state of becoming one with it, which reminded me of the pirates of the Caribbean, however...!PLOT TWIST!#2, someone made it out of that terrifying spell in one piece! Why in all of existence did it have to be Lucy?

It happened before in Oracion ARC but the one got hijacked is Hibiki...

Speaking of the fish~ now how Lucy going to make it sneeze LOL?
