Which is much more dangerous a 2 way tunnel or a building with windows around it. And that fight is in the anime. It's the last arc of index anime.

Also, I believe I have found the flipside of Touma's life. Recently translated by the super awesome, magical, wonderful and completely supercalifragilisticexpialidocious teh_ping is Volume 11, Chapter 2 where it states

Touma doesn't remember that any more, so doesn't have the trauma associated with being called a monster.

I know this is just my preference, but I hope that one day Accelerator becomes this kind of BRO.

Well, I can't remember about the anime, but I do remember Touma was at least able to land a hit on Kaori when they first met before he got pwned by her... at least that's what I read in the manga. Uh huh.

In the novels in the part where Touma collapses he does punch Kanzaki in the face after telling her how useless are both Stiyl and her.
