It's like Romance of the Three Kingdoms all over again.

Now when will they make something about the Russo-Japanese War?

Same. At first glance I see nothing at all interesting on that list.

The only thing I'm definitely going to watch is Strike Witches S2. The rest depends on what shows are simulcasted/legally watchable. I have a policy of not watching fansubs, but my love for Strike Witches is so great that it overrides my minor concerns about law and morality.

Mitsudomoe and Black Rock Shooter intrigue me greatly, the first because of the characters and it's large manga fanbase, and the second because I love Ordet's animation. I think Hen Zemi would be right up my alley, based on what I've seen of the manga, though that's only in terms of concept and I don't know how well that concept will be executed.

I'll be watching the Kure-nai OVA; beyond that I don't know. I'll probably give Shiki and the live-action version of Moyashimon a try since they're the Noitamina shows. I'm curious to see how the microbes are animated and mixed in with the live action.

Well since I can't really watch much anime these days, only get the chance to check out a few I really want and as usaul there is alot of stuff I want to try out but never get the time to.
I'll def be watching Sekirei, Sengoku and Highschool of the Dead, anything else is maybe.
Altho I think I may have to add Amagami and Shukufuku as well
I'll probably watch all of the above at some point, just a question of when.

SHIKI
: One anime I am really looking forward to this summer . Its Higurashi minus the lolis, plus the art work is simply breathtaking .

Will Give a Try

- Sengoku Basara : Seen season 1 so will follow up on the series . I hope it doesn't go to deep into Japanese History as thats not my strong point .

- Nurarihyon no Mago : Started the manga as soon as the series debuted and got translated . My major gripe has been the artwork with resp to manga . Hopefully will look better animated

- Seikmatsu Occult Academy : I expressed my grievances in the respective thread . The male lead is a major turn off .

Well as of now i will be watching Kurenai Ova, and Seikirei Pure Engagement, also Highschool of the dead for some somewhat serious zombie killings, other than that, Im not really looking forward to anything, might go rewatch Lost in it's entirety or maybe even revisit clannad because there are no kyoani series that are currently jiving with me. Any way most likely will be a quite summer, and maybe i'll actually work on getting a tan.

Guessing you stretched the definition cause I'm only counting 1/12th of this chart is moe shit.

Who gives a crap. It's not like 90% of these shows will ever be made 'legal' overseas.

In other news, looks like this season has ticked every single fucking demographics box.
-fanservice (panties)
-horror
-lolicon
-samurai
-some dating thing
-slice of life/student council misadventures (1 guy in council full of girls...Seitokai no Ichizon Mk.2)
-military buffs
-catgirls
-fighting monsters

Guessing they haven't ticked the yaoi demographics yet.

Considering if I should see Shukufuku no Campanella (The Curtain Ring of Benediction? What is that suppose to mean?) just to see what the fuck this is about since the chart description is vague.

/me shoots NinjaYali for equating school life with slice of life.

That said, there's no immediate jump over series for me this season. So I gues Ill adopt a wait and see attitude (wait for other people whose review I trust to watch the series first and weed the crap out. )

There's a difference?

Looks like a slice of life to me.

Lets see,

All the main titles: Shiki, High School of the Dead, Occult Academy, Kuroshitsuji2, Nurarihyon no Mago, have walking dead, vampires/zombies or some other similar paranormal creatures, such as demons. The others are harems (male lead or not). Most of them (if not all of them) are also very sandbox like, if the source/previous material is any indication. To put it another way, the rabbit will be out of the bag in the first few scenes or after 2 inches of plot and the rest is just milking your attention though all sorts of clowning around.

It will be interesting how this slap stick occult/harem season will work out.

Unfortunately the "intelligent, well-written show" category seems to have declined in importance.

Youjou han, Tatami Galaxy, Arakawa and Rainbow. 4 shows. Made up for summer. Hmm, got to watch Youjou Han and Rainbow one day.

Though I heard Legendary Legends about Legendary Heroes living Legendary Lives was made by the same directors behind Regios. So that's a good sign.

But...from the looks of it most likely outweighed by Western Fantasy tropes.

Oh yeah...
*ticks fantasy epic demographics*

Oh and shit I just forgot...
*ticks high school students for HS of the Dead*

Hmm...since I'm following Digimon, Sekimatsu and LoLH, looks like I'll have to drop HSOTD.

Stay tuned as I attempt to apply Department of Redundancy Department trope to shows to make titles redundant.

Yojou-han Shinwa Taikei and Tatami Galaxy are the same show. Probably the best one airing now, though.
