ef - a tale of melodies

What many people have been hoping for (I think), the second season of ef!

From Moonphase

Director is Oonuma Shin
Animation studio is Shaft

It isn't open, but the official website is http://www.ef-melo.com/
--

I guess it will focus on Mizuki and Yuuko (and Yuu?)...
The first season was good, so I will definitely watch the second season!

Hah... yare yare, more drama. (-_- )
And when I think about Mizuki x Kuzu Kuze...

I hope it will continue, and I really love the 1st season.
So I'm expecting a lot from this.

I was like "....eh?" when I saw this thread in the Unaired section.

Awesome news. ~a tale of memories~ was a masterpiece of melodrama, and I sure hope Oonuma keeps up his good work with this sequel.

Wow, that's a good news~ I hope that it will be even better than the 1st season and that i'll compensate the fact that I can't play the game in it original language...yet

At least there's still a good amount of material for a second season, so it's good to see they won't be creating this blind.

Brilliant news. More ef is just what i wanted.

Nice one, now it is able to ride the massive momentum given to the franchise by the TV series and the recent second game.

Unlike other series. (coughGunslingerGirl)

And now I shall go back to anticipating.

@Shiroth: I'm expecting another set of protagonists for this series with the original ones making cameos.

I have a copy of Dengeki Hime (yes, that magazine that specialized on porn/dating sims) that has a small featurette on the pairings of the second ef game and I'm guessing the anime will follow suit. It'll be interesting how much they deviate since the first anime did deviate slightly if at least to provide some gossip.

At beginning I thought it was a joke, but then...

I loved a tale of memories, and I WILL love a tale of melodies. The staff is the same, nothing can go wrong.

I have high expectations.

Another season? Got into the first one late in the game, but I'm on board from the beginning for the second one.

Looking highly forward to this seeing that EF - a tale of memories - is one of my favourite series.

Well I'm hoping at a lot of Hiro x Miyako moments, as long as I don't have to watch to much Kei & that stupid cameraguy it's all good for me.

Well it would be nice to get a Hiro and Miyako moment every few episodes but I wouldn't be expecting too much from them.

Except Akiyuki Shinbo is no longer supervising. I know directors are ultimately the conductors, but looking back at Shinbo's works, (i.e. Zetsubou and Cossette) the direction of EF to me suggest he did more than "supervising". But what do I know, I never worked in a studio.

*edit: actually I can't find any staff informations. I just looked up Shinbo and didn't find any positions in Ef ~ melodies.

He is directing Hidamari x365 this season, so he might skip ef. However I think everything will be allright!
