With the current announcement i think it will hit 200-300 votes easily ^.^
And think this is the right place to thank the people. I wanna thank everyone who has nominated/voted for me. Means a lot to a first timer like me. With all the somewhat discouraging post i saw for first timers, i had my doubts about this. But it worked out all well after all for me. And also wanna thank the community and the mods for making this possible of course. Since without them, neither of this would be possible. (/Moo i really suck at making a thank you post). Congrats to the finalist who has made it here. And good luck. Once again, i wanna thank everyone that has voted for me.

I'm not really a big fan of AIR but I voted for the second one featuring Misuzu anyway. I find it somewhat nostalgic because the "shot from the rear without showing the face" reminds me of the FF7 wallpapers from 1997.
Compared to the others, it looks somewhat plain but I prefer understated stuff anyway. The text doesn't beg for attention.

If it was for the sake of what I think you're thinking then yeah, for purpose of picking banner the great majority of the forum would like to see, the current system's crap. Statistically speaking the wining banner might represent the favorite of only 10% of the population at most. (15% if we're really lucky) Just think about how many people end up voting for something other then their favorite, there's also strategic voting in mind, gotta vote for X because it doesn't have votes. If choosing it for forum use was the deal here then a public multi-choice poll with all the 100+ entries would do just fine. But, your missing something important. This is a CONTEST! If it helps read it Contest: Banners. The fact the banners may or not end up on top is just a PRIZE! In the end does having 3 banners somehow satisfy the majority? I tried to tell people in the previous thread, but I guess I should have simplified the explanation a bit.- One last thing. Lets all stop vote counting and just vote for the one we actually like the most. We are all jury here, lets at least pretend to act fair and professional about it.

Um, I think you misunderstood, sorry ^^" I didn't really follow the analogies but I think I was thinking of something else:
In the end there would still be a top banner, even if people are given three votes each. Unless by will of chance that everybody votes for the same three banners, it's unlikely that three banners would win the top prize. The reason why I felt that three votes would be more appropriate was because such reduces the impact of outlier votes in the overall results. I simply thought the statistical distribution arising from this modification would be more regular, and the winner wins more fairly. And even so, if one doesn't feel like voting for three banners, he/she can opt to vote for one instead. The three vote thing is a maximum limit, not a minimum =) Uh-huh.... ^^ |

Ay, i double checked twice to make sure i didn't voted for wrong person. It was somewhat confusing. And thank you for your vote. Even if it went to wrong one. Knowing my air banner is getting some support enough for me
Btw, when is the closing time on the poll? I would guess Friday 23:00 UTC again. The previous poll/thread had info about it. But this one seems to be missing it.
