That was an interesting start. They sort of just throw you into it at first, but once things become clear it does start to seem like the start to what could be a fun ride.

Did Magna Alecto lose an arm at some point during the fight with the mecha. At the very start of the eppy or did it lose it at some other point in time?

Episode 1:
Wow, can't believe that Rena is a Regalia Gear while Yui is the empress of Enastoria!

This could be an interesting mecha anime series, but I'm worried that the story won't be developed within 12 episodes unless they make another dozen episodes.

The robot with swords cut Alecto's arm off at the beginning of the episode.

Whoever or whatever team was in charge of the sound design, specially the sound effects, should be fired. They are absolutely atrociously blown out. Pretty much any and all sound effects during the action scenes are trash tier quality.

I don't think so. The sounds effects were a bit too loud, but other than that they were just fine.

Sound was fine for me as well except those parts where they would use those sirens or whatever you call those things they like to use in actual movies, too, to up the epicness. Those parts felt a bit forced. Other than that, the OST isn't spectacular but it's not bad either, so quite passable in a positive meaning.

It should be noted that Funimation's release does have some issues with the sound (you can easily notice this if you compare it to the raw). It also drops frames during action sequences.

Yeah, this was a bit too fast paced for my liking, everything seemed pretty rushed. But the Magna Alecto's pretty badarse and the relationship between Yui and Rena's pretty charming, so count me in. Not going to bother making guesses about the story so far, I'll wait for ep.2.

Anyone remember the full summoning chant Rena used in summoning Manga Alecto if so. Could someone be kind enough to post it?

Eternal executor, knowing darkness, destroying darkness. I summon you to the endless destruction within me. Fill me with unwavering fury. Unfathomable scared relics ... in the name of Erinius, reveal yourself! Magna Alecto.
