how to get write access on 2nd HDD on linux help
I have a 2nd HDD that only has read access after i mount it in solus budgie. How do i format.mount the drive so i have read and write access? Thanks

Linux will mount devices read-only if they have file system discrepancies. Did you run fsck against the filesystem? Assuming the file system resides in /dev/sdb1, the first partition on the second hard drive ("b"), you should run

sudo fsck /dev/sdb1 If that doesn't help, we'll need to get into details about the file system's entry in /etc/fstab and how you are mounting drives.
