Man this show always manages to make things interesting doesn't it?
I agree with person last page about Togame's comments been important. Also I had to laugh sooo badly when Shichika did not realizing the cold was causing his body to dull, and thus lose control, cause he didn't know how cold felt it seems xD. Given the end of the episode I am kinda of glad I put off watching this episode some, since waiting a whole month for that battle would suck, seriously I can't wait to see the next episode D:.

Noob here.
It appears that someone on Youtube already has Bahasa Palus. Hopefully he/she will upload the rest of the soundtrack in the future (if he/she does indeed have it). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niPPbPmjUuc |

And Iwasaki's experimental streak continues! I still am not liking his tendency for merging rapping with [insert music type here], but I find it moderately effective in this case. Maybe because I liked its placement in the show enough. My favourite part of the song? It's near the halfway point [timecode 2min12sec] when those Buddhist singing bowl/bell things come in for a quiet introspective interlude which very much resonated with me... ...possibly because it took place after the rapping ended? Or maybe because I've been sporadically hearing that kind of sound growing up, and it manages to have a calming effect for me. |

My problem with the piece is that it doesn't feel integrate. It's like certain takes on the main theme spliced in different versions - original music, rap version, slow version, rap+original music version with next to none transition. Funny. |

Here you go.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyAUQ8HlLvY As for the prologue theme, going by the amount of times i listened to it back with the prologue and here with that link, i'd say it's one of the best pieces Taku has ever composed.

I feel like Iwasaki reached very deep into his composing roots for this piece, which is certainly a very good thing. Reminds me very much of his early awesome works which really got him noticed, like the Kenshin Trust/Betrayal OVA, and Getbackers.
The slow rolling foreboding violins are back! <3 |

It's just that Aniplex decided to neglect further advertisments at the moment. For all I know, nothing might have been made at all! I was expecting a 3rd seasonal trailer, but they might not have one, since there doesn't seem to be any major event to show it on. Oh and advertising every episode with custom-made TV spots might be quite expensive, too, for what it's worth. It's safe to assume we're not missing out on anything. Either way, things as big as that, I would probably bring to your attention here. Real shame, I like what they did with promotions. Last edited by Daniel Lind; 2010-06-29 at 15:17. |

Seems like Katanagatari is changing the OP for ALI PROJECT. The single is coming out on Aug 25 (LASM-4065 CD/LASM-34065 CD+DVD).
Cool for me. 3 months with 3 new ALI PROJECT CDs (Fate/extra single, Katanagatari single, new album). Don't care about Gothic Opera live, since I consider it one of their weakest albums. |

Thanks for the information, Horse.
It's certainly not entirely unexpected, but extremly illogical. One opening for all episodes would help to maintain the certain level of continuity, not to mention that all three key villians are present in the original opening. And... AliPro again? Seriously? Of all people, Ali Project? Come on! It's like in Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo, except in reverse. They were already featured in the show anyway, what the heck! Oh, and apparently we'll only see the opening starting episode 8, which means one of the key reasons for the change is Spoiler for Togame:
Couldn't they just... change the original? At least I hope it's a fast one, like Coppelia no Hitsugi or Baragoku Otome. I loved those two. I just can't imagine Katanagatari without Meiya Kadenrou. Damn you, Lantis. Damn you, Aniplex. Damn you both. Last edited by Daniel Lind; 2010-06-30 at 08:59. |
