Some of them are timed in a way that if you finish a chapter before completing them, then you fail the sub-event/sidequest.

Well I just finished the main story on Jude's POV, gotta say this is probably my new favorite Tales game. I like pretty much every party member and the world is, like always, very imaginative. It had some very nice aesthetic elements that helped push it up a bit higher than older Tales worlds for me.

It's kind of ironic because before playing it I was way more interested in Tales of Xillia 2 instead of this title, so I mainly wanted to play it so I could at least pay respect to the lore of the world when playing ToX2. Now ToX is my favorite of the games I have played so far.

It's always been a thing of mine to say that I've never really seen the Tales series really go in terribly dark direction and I would have liked to see it do so, but this game showed me it has to potential to do that, particularly when the beginning of the final chapter came around.

Spoiler for Story stuff aka SPOILERS:

I liked the game's theme of "mystics and nature" vs "science and technology" with the spirits and spyrixes, each with their own world representing one of them. I would have liked to explore more of Elympios since it's such a unique modern-looking environment for Tales, but I can tell already ToX2 will allow that in much greater amounts.

If there's one thing I could really criticise though, that's the final battle with Gaius and Muzet. I guess there's something about two men duking it out over their ideals on how to shape the world, but I think it would have been a lot more exciting with a villain that would be much more satisfying to destroy.

Anyway, nothing to do now but go back and do some of the extra stuff. I'm very much looking forward to ToX2 next year now and hopefully it'll be even better than this game.~

Destiny's very underrated nowadays.

Considering most anime are made to promote the source material, I don't think think anyone would be willing to greenlight a Destiny anime. The series is done, and even the Director's Cut remake is quite old by now.

Probably Symphonia Chronicles since it's an HD port of two already localized games, and I believe it's already been confirmed for "early 2014" while ToX2 is just "2014".

Though it is the enhanced PS2 version of Symphonia 1 that was never released outside of Japan, so that may affect some things. Us foreigners only ever got the Gamecube version.

quick question does this game have multiple ending like xilia 2 or not cause considering what i know of spoilers of 2 and and how the ending i got well it just doesn't add up not to mention the final boss being severely lack luster

just fighting muzet and a powered up but extremely similar fighting style gaius doesn't feel like a final boss to me

I know it's highly unlikely but Symphonia's adaptation was pretty recent and it came out a few years after Symphonia's release. I'm not sure if that was to promote that game. But I do wish Destiny gets at least an OVA

To add, Symphonia's Unisonant Pack's release in JP is in 2 months. And if I remember correctly, the LE comes with a Colette and Lloyd nendo

a question again, What are those "Mysterious Jewels" for?

Aren't those just used as shop expansion materials? They're one of the rarer kind that goes for a lot of upgrade points.

I suppose a few sub-events may require them too.

As a general rule, hold on to anything that gives thousands of points until you can be certain no sub-quest needs them I usually double check gamefaqs just to be safe '

Mysterious Jewels are counted as "Key Items"

Mysterious Jewels are used to unlock a hidden boss at end-game. When you beat it you unlock a new arte for Jude. There are 23 Jewels in all.

Questions regarding spell casting,

1) Is there anyway to 'hold X' if I map Millia's spirit artes to the Right analog?

2) How do I target my allies for heals and buffs if I'm using the character?

1) I don't think so, or maybe there is, but I don't know it lol. Right analog is shortcut to give order to your teammate for me
2) After you cast the spell, during casting time. I kinda forget what button to push. I'll check it once I got home from work if no one answered you yet.

If I recall, Right Analog to the direction of who you want to heal while holding the arte button while casting the arte

No, I generally only use the same 4-6 for the character I control.

Honestly I could barely remember the 8 I have for each character, not to mention keeping track of which can be combo into a Link Artes with which character since they are mostly different

Throw in the "Hold L1" and my brain farted more times than I could count

You don't have to use Link Artes or switch characters. That's just being fancy

Sticking with one character is enough for the main game. You can take it slow and learn the rest on subsequent playthroughs (or if you're obsessed with getting everything in the arena/colosseum). That's generally what I do for every Tales game anyway.
