Does it end with Ferris dying, or does she die and the story ends a bit later after she is already dead and buried? Or is she still alive and slowly dying when the story ends?

The different futures shown in Vol 16 already had Ryner and Ferris all die by the end. I doubt the novel is going to end as a tragedy after Vol 16.

Ahh, it's been so long that I forgot the new volume released...

I'll still read it since I don't like leaving stories unfinished, but the more I hear about vol 17 the further my interest in the whole series drops.

I don't think the LN will end on the next volume, right now we have this mayor development right at the end of the current volume and to do a proper job this is probably going to need 2 more.

For now Rayner is gonna do something about Ferris situation and of course he needs to defeat the goddess too.

Someone told me a while back Ryner's Solver of All Equations mode was cursed so he couldn't use his power, has the cursed persisted since the time it was put in place until now ?

It was sealed, not cursed. Solver comes with a cost, every time it is used someone dear to the user dies.

Also, it was awkward as hell reading Ryner trying to explain what sex and pregnancy are to Ferris.
P.S. Fuck Kagami, he fucking gives diabetes at the beginning of the Volume to only end it with despair.
