I wouldn't rank Gun God that high, because he is not stronger than an average human but he just happens to have a weapon that is super effective against super beings.
If you meant by sword emperor the slash emperor sword, well that thing is possibly stronger than Ea.

This is pretty much getting off topic , but i doubt that even Gawain with his numeral of the saint ability can stand against Ea though.

The last time I checked, this thread is called "Fate/Zero - Episode 23", not a "type moon power level chart" whatsoever.
Feel free to make a general anime thread for that, but please do not proceed any further in such kind of discussion here.

Yeah... it reduced the impact of the battle.
Anime: Effective use of a Hope Spot, eliciting in the viewer the perception that if things had gone a bit differently, Rider could have escaped with his life.

Light Novel: One sided curb-stomp due to "lol power levels".

Of course, neither of these is correct, but there lies the fun in oversimplifications.

Well, the whole point of the LN portrayal is showing Rider's thirst for conquering the insurmountable odds, and Gilgamesh is the most insurmountable of them all.

Considering the amount of comments that we have about Gilgamesh being seriously overpowered I don't think that the impact of the battle was reduced at all.

Yeah... it reduced the impact of the battle.
I think it is understandable.

The LN scene was quite gruesome. They tune it down for the sake of not making it too graphic, rather than nerf'ing Alexander.

Ladies and gentlemen, for Episode 24 preview screenshots we are only graced with two instead of 6:

Spoiler for Ep 24 finale:

So we are about to end Fate/Zero with two episodes left.

Yeah, also, a great deal of that section of the LN is told from Rider's point of view, and from his point of view, he seriously believes he is going to win up until the moment that his sword is stopped and Gilgamesh's pierces him instead.

So from that position, it was adapted perfectly. It showed that he was seriously injured--something that he himself is only dimly aware of in that moment. But it still gave justification to his feeling that only one more step would allow him to strike Gilgamesh.

I do understand the complain that he is more grievously injured, and thereby outmatched, in the novel. But it's not like the anime makes you think it's a fluke that Gilgamesh wins.

Not that the reduced amount of preview screenshots confirms or disconfirms anything, but if next episode were a double episode I suppose they would have said so by now. Oh well, all we can hope for is that they at least skip the OP in order to get more footage in. Skipping the ED would be welcome as well, though it rarely ever happens. Anything but a rushed climax please.

Hi guys here's something I read on MAL apparently According to a post on /a/ which is not very reliable source the staff details posted for Episode 24 were out of date

There is actually 6 Animation Directors working on Episode 24 as confirmed on Official Website on Late Friday Night (In Australia)

Animation Directors: Atsuhi Ikariya, Tomonori Sudou, Keita Shimizu, Jun'ya Kikuchi, Toshiyuki Shirai, Shizuka Fujisaki

Sounds like they are really going all out but that might not be a necessarily a good thing when it comes to pacing I guess we will just have to see once the episode is out

It was an amazing looking episode that almost feels movie quality. I liked the epic battles that were occurring everywhere that gives me a strong sense of tension and road to the end. Rider obviously went down in a GAR fashion and there were many manly tears to be shed. I really wish Gil didn't take him down so easily though. Yes, Gil used his full power and shit and he is overpowered, but the result was a fight that was more of a 3 move affair. It was interesting to see Gil treat someone else as an equal.

And so we head towards the end of a dream. Waver falling to the ground in despair, and Kariya suffering into a madman, with Irisviel laying there motionless, and finally Kitsurugu walking in just really shows that the hardest things to do is to live. But since we all have something to do and other things to accomplish we must live on regardless of what one thinks. So as much as Waver hates it, he has to live on and make sure sacrifices were not in vain.

Also, Kotomine was totally getting off to himself. His cup overflowing eh? 9/10

That's how delicious he envisions Kiritsugu's suffering to be.
