It seems, though, he still doesn't seem to think Hina would ever like him. All the same, I wonder if this will have any significant impact in his relationship with Ayumu, who has confessed her feelings to him a few times already.

nice.... A-tan appeared and only saw how Hayate's cheating on other girls
it's good to see Hina become more daring in this chapter.... although she should heard what Ruka has done to Hayate good luck, Hayate-kun for finding a King's jewels... |

I started to reread Hayate no Gotoku again and i noticed something that i didnt pay attention to before...the one that ayumu mentions as her home tutor that taught her of nothing but to sing and play the guitar is Yukiji, hina's sister or a different person? (chapter 144)

You know, after hearing Nagi's description of Ruka being super duper hardcore determine to get him, I would love to see how this would tie into [can't take my eyes off you] ....I'm evil that way

There's always the possibility of a bait and switch for a gag, but I think what the author's trying to convey is "if it's for Hayate, Nagi can do anything". It's the same as when she broke the jewel. No matter how selfish and useless she usually is, when Hayate's really troubled, she will rescue him.
