That being said, the Sky Bus chapter was adapted decently well. I appreciate it.

Index really should ditch the habit. She looks much cuter without it.

Touma losing his shit was nice, but like most things in this adaption, I wish it wasn't downplayed.

I agree in the source Touma was merciless, then cold with the pilot and was near a moral shift when watching one terrorist suffer.

Unlike most people Touma fights. A true terrorist wouldn't stop even after this must.
So just letting him suffer and keeping him from doing anything was the best chose

Damn Index is so frickin' annoying that I was half cheering for the bad guy when he was choking her. Also, gotta love how calm they were that someone was murdered on the plane, at this point Touma is becoming Conan, wherever he goes trouble follows.

Well, next episode we will be introduced to a lot of crazy yet awesome women... This is gonna be good.

Well in this particular situation the person involved wasn't just a friend but the person that made a notable imprinting on Touma's psyche effectively making of Index the most important person to him (build up from early novels). Depending on how this adaptation takes it you might even be able to see an almost possessive side of Touma.

Of course it could not, Touma is a perfect hero and full of morals, this is how it was presented in the anime, just as Mikoto had his human faults erased in the anime of Railgun.

I know Mikoto isn't the apex of feminity but to refer to the character as HE... .

No, that is not how their relationship works. It's more along the lines that Touma protects her because he is honoring the deeds of the Touma pre-memory wipe (<- he mentioned some of this last episode to Misaka) and the effort and sacrifice he put into helping her, he wants to "protect the smile HE (the other Touma) gave to her" (this is mostly the reason he looks after). And as time has moved on she has become like family, especially a little sister figure to him. The one to make a "notable imprinting" on him was the old Touma, NOT Index.

The little sister role was debunked by the author himself years ago by explicitly making a little sister character . You can take that discussion to LN threads and keep your usual bias and selective blindness contained there .

I am still surprised this part of the novel wasn't cut. It was nice seeing Touma fight more mundane foes where his right hand can't help him. It was toned down a bit from the novel, but I still enjoyed how everything played out.

What little sister character other than Index is there for Touma? There is literally no one, not even characters yet to be introduced in the anime version that fit that roll, not even near to the extent that Index does.

Using the anime only:

If you are talking about that one cousin of his that looked like a little Misaka during Angel Fall then that doesn't count at all due to her being a one time character that he clearly barely even remembers at all, felt disconnected from and was supposed to be a Misaka gag.

If you are talking about Last Order or the Sisters, he has interacted with LO just once and the Sisters spend most of their time hidden away with barely any interaction with him outside of that one time in Sisters arc.

Everyone else is either a classmate, a teacher, or someone he either has to save/help or follow rules from.

Spoiler for Not exactly spoilers or important in any sort of way to the plot, but just in case:

If you are talking about that character that we have yet to see, the same as above applies. The only one so far who fits that role is Index because her role has been primarily that of a family member, unlike that character who only gets teased about it like twice and barely even takes on that role.
