I'm fairly certain there's a good amount of difference since after finishing reading the first arc of the webnovel, I never saw the brown skinned boy in the colour illustrations of the LN first volume. Never saw any scenes with the white haired girl and the classmate girl (been too long so I've forgotten everyone's names except Alma...) in the same place either.

Did check it out a it a long time ago & some changes have been made in the LN version since the original WN format won't work well on its published form.

Like that guy he's fighting in the illustrations, the LN needed a good conflict & some better pacing to end the volume in a good way & proper build up for the next one.

Good to see someone else picked up the translation. It's pretty good so far and feels slightly different from other reincarnate work, since MC only reincarnate and not transported to a new world.

Also, is the girl on the cover of vol 5 Alma or someone else? It looks like Alma to me, but the different hair and clothing style are really throwing me off.

I'm sad this ended so early, looks like it wasn't popular enough to keep going. I really loved this LN despite it's several flaws.
It's a pity the translators (Of both LN and WN) couldn't keep up with it, but I hope they can find the time and desire to continue translating it (Or someone else get interested in this).
I'll miss Mushashugyo a lot!

What's also sad is that this never got any kind of adaptation, not even a manga one.
Well, I recommend this a lot if the translations continue, volume 1 is a bit of an introductory volume, so it's a bit slow, but volume 2 onwards things keep getting more interesting.

Yeah, in volume 5 after her near death, Slava decided to tell her the truth about him and she joined in his journey after that. A really nice moment by the way.

We had the classic "somewhat open ending", but the rest was there. Slava magically fell in love with Sheryl, which is one of the worst flaws I mentioned earlier.
Sheryl's feelings for Slava only started to take form around volume 7 or 8, it was really cute and well-done, even though she didn't confess Slava realized she matured and fell in love with him in volume 9. But until then Slava never saw her as a romantic interest and then the last volume came and suddenly he realize his until now inexistent feelings for her.
Well, it worked as a plot device for the last power up for Slava.
