anyways, very cool news, I can't wait!
Yeah I also tried the website but the same login/password came up, my guess is its just way to early for any info so waiting is the only thing we can do.

If you haven't all ready checked it out before here's the web site for the game.

While I would love to agree with you here, a lot of the crap animes like Raimiuro Senkitan, Green Green, and hentai are targeted at the seinen 20-30-something young men also. For me, I define seinen to the genre that first introduced the term to me, usually slice-of-life atmospheric anime with minimal ecchiness, stuff like Kamichu!, Aria, YKK, Victorian Romance Emma, and the like.

I will be interested in Shonen Onmyouji also if they portray the guys realistically (meaning, appealing to guys too, like yeah! that could have been me!) such as H&C. So far most shounen-ai anime rubbed off me as stories starring girls who just happen to have d**ks.

--------------------------------------

Also, the word h-game based-anime should not be misinterpreted. I believe it was pointed out in another forum (either animeondvd or animenation) that Meine Liebe, Harutoki, Sukisyo, were animes based on erogames for girls. So the next time somebody says "crap h-game anime", they must be specific..., i.e. "crap bishoujo game anime". For the record I find >50% bishoujo anime are actually pretty decent.

Given that seinen are the ones who play bishoujo games, why the hell wouldn't an anime based on one not be aimed at the same audience? -_-

In my experience, the ones playing h-games were mostly teenagers. 8)

I don't see the logic to that experience as most all the warnings involved pretty much exclude all teens except for the last two years. Most people I know with collections of store-bought hentai are in the late 20's range.

Exactly.

The real audience is the guys who wait hours in line in Akiba to pick up the latest release from Sofmap, not the moron kids who just download everything. :p

Warning labels stop noone. Warning labels in fact encourage teenage audience. 8)

But we have gotten badly off-topic. Look for example at Air Gear. This and other works of Oh!great feature nudity, sex, profainity and intense graphic violence.

Yet he is published in a SHOUNEN publication and trust me when I say that the suggested audience is definitely NOT 18+. 8)

The same would be true for the TV-show. It's a shounen audience, despite the supposedly 18+ suggestions.

This is good news indeed. It's more of nothing but nothing is so nice in Aria's case. I like just watching the characters go about their lives in that beautiful soft sci-fi world.

In other news, I haven't heard anything else about the Arffi anime so I'm gonna vote it as an unfounded rumour. My apologies. Guess I jumped the gun. Sucks, too. I really wanted to see Socom with a rage control psychosis.

There is a site (that I don't want to mention) thats listing 3 manga that are going to get animated but MoonPhase is not listing these anime so I'm not sure should I mention them or not or maybe I should wait until its confirmed and listed by MoonPhase

the 3 manga that are listed on the site:
2 manga are seinen manga
1 manga is shoujo manga

The first volume cover of the shoujo manga has a guy putting his hand inside the girls pink panties (while she's wearing them) if this is really getting animated I must watch this, no way I'm missing this (unless it has shounen-ai of course).

Ok now I know why the three manga (from the post above) are not mentioned on MoonPhase its because they are not getting animated but they are getting TV drama series ( each one of them that is ^^; ), since this is the New Announced Anime thread I will not mention them.

EDIT: oops !! didn't see the link to the Strawberry Panic thread, my bad.

I have no idea if its similar or not, because I didn't watch it (Maria sama ga Miteru anime)

And if its similar or not, that does not change the target audience.

Strawberry Panic is a yuri novel/manga/anime for male audience, unlike Maria sama ga Miteru which is shoujo novel/manga/anime.

Ah ah, so this is why one of the illustrations in the site feature the two heroines kissing on a plane. All is clear now.

From what I understood from the official site, people in the world of Simoun can change their sex whan they reach 15 years of age (an idea a litle bit similar with the "They were eleven" movie & manga), so I thought that the yuri bits were only a possibility... but if this series comes from from a yuri magazine, we are fixed.

After an onslaught of novel-inspired animes announcements the past months, we are now facing the begining of an invasion of yuri anime. What wil be next ? lol
