You forgot to mention that none of those are adaptations are of a video game, so even more reason as why it's impossible to say how Persona 4 the animation will turn out.
The game played mostly like a movie anyway just remove the battling part and you got a decent tv series

So P4A's preview event of episode 1 was today, here is some info:

-The episode starts off in the Velvet Room
-Igor's voice is directly taken from the game
-A lot of the game's original soundtrack is used in the anime, and very well used at that
-The episode was completely faithful to the game and original fans who were at the event had universal praise for it
-The OP's composition goes like this: All the main characters are shown -> all the main characters' Personas are shown -> events in the city are shown -> all the main characters are shown standing in the city
-The ED is of Yuu and Persona tarot cards spinning while floating in the air (if you've played P4 you know how this looks). Perhaps the tarot cards have faces of the main characters and their persona on them? Someone said it looks very cool, anyway.
-Both Kishi (director) and Kakihara (series composer) are big fans of the original game, so while they are taking into account new audiences, they also want to keep the anime as close to the game as possible and make it something that fans of the original game can approve of (which it seems they accomplished, with episode 1 at least).

I could translate a complete run down of episode 1 if it's not considered a spoiler and enough people want it.

So they didn't get Igor's voice actor to re-record his lines? That's sort of odd, but I guess that's one way to cut production costs.

Glad to hear that it's quite faithful so far though.~

They used his voice from the game because Igor's seiyuu (Tanonaka Isamu) died last year. I guess ATLUS doesn't want to pick a new voice for Igor before Persona 5.

Oh, well, I guess that's a legitimate enough reason to do such a thing.

Guess those are the kind of mistakes one makes if they don't follow voice actors closely.

But it does make one wonder if they'll use Igor again with a new VA, or create a whole new servant of Philemon in P5.

Poster from preview event;

Protagonist looks too good.

Anyway, premiere is getting very good reviews, along with Fate/Zero. Now, I don't know which would be my favourite for next season. Either F/Z or P4.

I expected Persona 4 to be licensed, but I didn't expect Sentai getting it!

Bah Sentai, the least consistent company when it comes to having an English dub. They better damn well get the original NA voice actors, because it will be a shame that my friends can't watch it due to them much preferring dubs. (looks at pile of sentai DVDs that my friends didn't touch )

Ahh, watching the trailer made me realise that I'm going to miss teddie's awesome puns from the NA dubs.

I wonder how quickly they'll get past the first couple of hours (game time), I know a lot of people felt that dragged on too long in the game.. and even if it's only an episode or two.. you know how people are with "something good has to happen in ep1!".

Basically expecting game fans to love this and new viewers to think it's too slow paced, could be worse, could be Umineko where game fans and new viewers think it sucks lol.

Don't know if any of this is posted already, but MayonatakaTV has got some translated impressions off 2ch. Also if no one has seen this, here's a barebones interview from a C80 minimag promoting the show. MayonatakaTV has a couple of the pages in better quality as well

Currently, they're pretty good about doing dubs for higher profile releases (CANAAN, Highschool of the Dead, Angel Beats). I'd be surprised if Persona 4 missed the cut, especially when they've announcd the license so early.

At any rate, I actually like Sentai's policy on dubs and Blu-Ray releases.

I was hoping for NIS America so I'd get a good artbook with the release. I really hope that the game cast is in the dub so that I won't see pages upon pages of complaints.

You're welcome
Now I demand a persona 3 anime!
Atlus, get to work!

Played the game 2 weeks ago because I wanted to have played it before the anime got here, so I know the full story in case stuff gets omitted

Oh, awesome. Now I can feel I'm supporting the show.
