This is how I see the ending of Volume 12 based on what was posted on the previous pages:

The ending is essentially an open ending. If going by what I read so far on these posts, he chose no one girl in the end.

Or, did he...?

It is an open ending but very open to interpretation, and until an official translation of the volume is released, we only have what's been spoiled and posted here and on that Chinese forum.

The one question I think everyone should ask themselves is this: What was Kyousuke's REAL intention when he kissed Kirino that way?

And, that can be interpreted so many different ways:

He has no intention of going back to a "normal sibling relationship" with Kirino.
A "what if" I did this, how would she react. The End.
"Did this for fun" and how would Kirino react?

It also leaves out what was Kirino's reaction to the kiss at the end. The author seems to have just stopped it there and let us readers decide or imagine what happened next. A typical Kirino reaction where she violently attacks her brother? Or, did she respond back to the kiss?

Who knows?

For me, personally, I think the ending is not so much open ended as it is more open to interpretation in of itself. I believe Kyousuke that after twelve volumes kissed Kirino as a way of saying, "I don't want us to return to a normal sibling relationship." Until a translation is released, I still think Kyousuke chose Kirino in the end based on the kiss. A kiss to me can be a rather personal way of getting someone's intentions through. I don't think Kyousuke did it for fun or to see how Kirino would react, he wanted to kiss her especially if he did it without warning.

And, going by Soverance's speculation several posts above mine, I have to agree that the author probably ended it here before the issues of a sibling relationship would have brought up issues with their parents. Also, that tweet between Kirino and Kuroneko several pages back leaves open to the question of "What happened in those years since...?" "Since the kiss?" Or, something else?

So, it is open to interpretation but I think the author wanted the story to end it this way leaving it up to us to speculate what happened between Kyousuke and Kirino after Volume 12. I'm on the belief he chose Kirino in the end but the author left it up to us wondering if they took it any further.

Oh, and for the people who can read Japanese, there are also photos of pages with Jimiko vs. Kirino. With these perhaps some light can be shed whether Manami really accepts it.

It's a beautiful win for the Imouto Faction. Come on guys, if the spoilers are indeed true, then there's little else it could be. Kyousuke kissed Kirino twice--once before they "broke up" after their "wedding", and once after everything was supposed to be back to how its supposed to be.

And then we get a 10 year later bonus story? Kirino won.

Yeah I think we all got the same pictures,well Kirino did win I mean she got kissed on the Lips(twice?)Im not sure but she got what she desired which makes her the obvious winner.

Yeah I'm sure, I got 5 different images in total. Its pretty clear from the amount of people telling us the same ending from multiple sources, the images are there as well to enforce the information were getting (especially the longer more detailed spoilers)

Yep, not counting the text pages, five illustrations. But the author sure is going the get the full brunt of Kuroneko / Ayase fans' anger.

Yep same here,kirino shipper all the way and i despise Manami to an extent I cant explain.

Count me in as well. Love Kirino, hate Manami for some reason, indifferent to Kuroneko, sympathetic towards Ayase (though her yandere side freaks me out).

Kirino is my favorite as well, but I still don't like the ending so far with what I know from rumors and speculation. I feel it could have turned out much better

At least pull the damn trigger on someone and don't leave this open for interpretation crap as an ending.

You will have the short story after 10 yrs so everything there will be cleared of what really happened.

Like Kirino the most, don't really have that much of a problem with Manami since I can see where she is coming from most of the time.

That's still a massive cop-out because so much time passes that all development is basically rendered obsolete from the previous 12 novels. Unless it's a flashback to events that take place soon after the last LN ends.
