I thought this shot from the ED is really interesting. So are there other Hell Girls? It's so interesting and yet they choose not to branch out into that area!

has anyone noticed that lately a lot of the stories have the theme of people being sent to hell without actually being guilty or having a sin, this concept is so wrong. I would like to see an opposing force that could wrong the injustices that are being commited.

The Hell Girl has always been neutral (in D&D terms). Once investigations on whether they have the right person is complete, the gang wait for the string puller. Once it's pulled, time for work. No questions, no exceptions.

Noticed? Yeah... After watching both seasons, it would be hard not to notice... Like the nurse episode...

It's used to show that Jigoku Shojo isn't a hero of justice (something she says in season 1), but I wish they would limit the number of these type of episodes...

If anything, Jigoku Shojo shows that there is no "good" or "evil", only luck. If you're unlucky enough to bump into someone who's willing to trade his/her soul for yours, you're screwed, big time.

I really enjoyed the opening of the new series of Jigoku Shoujo. Although the the two most memorable new scenes shocked me, they were done in what I feel to be, a very artsy tasteful way. (More impressions and summary on blog)

My only complaint is I didn't feel that the OP and ED connected well with the episode. But they will probably grow on me in time.

since I know that there was going to be a third season, I've been looking on the internet for some spoilers but I didn't find a lot !
so what do we know for sure that will take place in the season ?
what about old characters like Gil de l'Enfer (aka Hell Boy) or Ai's grandma ?
does anyone have some infos that wo do know for a fact about this third season ?

I almost know nothing about Third Season.Everything seemed "Classified".

(EP1 is so amazing.Strong atmospheric and dramatic it holds.)

Since no groups have picked this up yet, I have begun the translation of the first ep. So far I have translated the first few mins. I have not translated the opening theme or the times when ren and hone onna are singing. I have translated the opening portion with the pictures but there are a couple confusing points which need QC. This is what I have on that, if you wanna see:

sanga sansarou
the mountains and rivers are three forked,

wakare michi
branched roads

mamoritai no wa
wanting to protect

onore ka hito ka
self or other people

tokoyo no umi ka
is it the ocean of eternalness?

hida no midare wa mitsuganae
the creases of disorder are three three legged kettles

it has never ended

any pending revenge will be taken

Ah, the OP isn't quite as catchy as the other two seasons'.

Seems we have everything thrust upon us at the very beginning. Ai is a little more... "expressive" this time around. Even the old trio seems confused but are eager to jump back on the bandwagon (I suppose that's because they want answers, too).

Altogether, this series feels a little more "tense". Introducing a new element to the use of the Death Hotline (Jigoku whatchamacallit) not only gives an excuse for more Ai but blurs the line from the clean-cut "they totally had it coming" the earlier seasons had. Twist at the end of ep 1 = HARDCORE - would watch again.

I dunno if we're gonna see old characters again (like Ai's grandma, Tsugumi, Takuma, the Lord of Hell, Gil de l'Enfer) but we will see the world of everlasting sunset, if you look at the preview for next week episode, we can see Yamawaro in the main room of Ai's house ! but the computer is not here anymore, why so ??

mehmeh1068 Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2008	Spoiler for episode 1: i've once again fallen in love with this awesome series. back to the same routine in ep 1, except Ai sort of uses Mikage as a medium to materialise and actually send the person to hell. So i suspect the rest of the season will happen around Mikage, and the preview for ep 2 looks like it's gonna happen in the same school. A little different from the previous seasons where there are people from very different places. I already have quite of few questions, as do other people: why does Ai appear, why does she choose Mikage, who is Yamawaro, why is Kikuri still there, and of course, what is with the bee costume????? must have been some random joke. As for the teacher, when he said something along the lines of 'you've been reading to much manga', I lauged at myself and thought, yes, unfortunately I have. I didn't find it particularly sad though that he died. The reason I like this series is because you constantly get to see the good guys suffer, and that's what happens in the real world.

But I indeed want to know : Spoiler for : who is Yamawaro why Ai appears as a butterfly why Yuzumi as the medium and so much more questions that will hopefully be answered by the end of the season ! and what I want to see again is the house of everlasting down, the Lord of hell !to know why he allowed Ai to return as the Hell Girl and Ai's grandma, oh and by the way, am I the only one that felt the begining of the episode as if it was Ai's grandma talking ? at the very begining when we see the faces of the main characters anyway I hope and think it's gonna be great ! and the pictures, the light is so beautiful, it's one of the greatest anime for the pictures quality ! (if i'm hard to read tell me so because i'm french and my english could be wrong sometimes )
