Well, at the end of the day, the top characters have been pulling the same voters, so it's not like it'd be hard for one to beat another, just whether people would be willing to change (ie. Kuroneko vs Yuki) even without more voters. The more the merrier though.

Spoiler for not to be taken seriously:
EDIT: Now that I think about it, wouldn't a higher influx of people from Facebook be bad for Kanade? Is Angel Beats! still new enough that casual anime watchers may have not watched it? |

Tough choice.. but I went with Shana because shes done so much more and has more personality. ARENA 02: [Akiyama Mio] Aisaka Taiga I did not vote for Mio, I voted against Taiga. ARENA 03: Yui [Nagato Yuki] Easiest choice of the night for me so far! ARENA 04: Katsura Hinagiku [Suzumiya Haruhi] ARENA 05: Nakano Azusa [Abstained] Eucliwood Hellscythe ARENA 06: [Nakamura Yuri] Sengoku Nadeko ARENA 07: Charlotte Dunois [Abstained] Senjōgahara Hitagi ARENA 08: [Elucia de Lute Irma] Haqua du Lot Herminium ARENA 09: Kawashima Minami [Minato Tomoka] ARENA 10: [Ayanami Rei] Evangeline McDowell

ARENA 01: Tachibana Kanade [Shana] Yea, don't look at me funny. Urusai! Urusai! Urusai! ARENA 02: [Akiyama Mio] Aisaka Taiga Honto? Yes, now shut up before I take my vote back. ARENA 03: Yui [Nagato Yuki] A wise man speaks because he has something to say; a fool because he has to say something. That about summarizes everything. ARENA 04: Katsura Hinagiku [Suzumiya Haruhi] More soda commericals plz! ARENA 05: [Nakano Azusa] Eucliwood Hellscythe I blame Konakaga's sig. ARENA 06: [Nakamura Yuri] Sengoku Nadeko Well, there's the other Haruhi.... ARENA 07: [Charlotte Dunois] Senjōgahara Hitagi Kana power! Plus my love of Hitagi isn't there. ARENA 08: [Elucia de Lute Irma] Haqua du Lot Herminium Haven't seen enough of this, so Elucia wins by default. Kanae Ito (Ohana, Sena, Elucia) woo! ARENA 09: Kawashima Minami [Minato Tomoka] Wut... whatever. Star basketball player voiced by Kana is the only damned thing I remember about this. ARENA 10: [Ayanami Rei] Evangeline McDowell "Voting in ISML is too sad!" "I'm sorry; I don't know what to do or feel at a time like this. " "Why don't you hate?" *Hates*

I remember Facebook was at least blocked in China some time ago, not sure if it's the case anymore. However, we've found quite a few organized Chinese communities for ISML, but not really for America (MAL doesn't care much about ISML, and we only have 1 thread on AS with maybe 20 people posting in it). Maybe Facebook will even up the score; well, it seems it has.
@ppaaccoojrf: If you're using previous data we collected this year, then the huge influx of Western voters should favor Kanade since China is pro-China. However, like you said, the ramifications of the Facebook community may very well favor Shana, which would be interesting since it would overturn support region-wise. This means that if Shana should win, it would be because of converts in previous pro-Kanade regions and NOT an influx of votes in pro-Shana regions.

As someone who had lived in China for the past two months, I can confirm that FB is still blocked. Apparently there are a couple of Chinese voters complaining that the FB thingy outright crashes their browser back around when the server move happened, but I don't know if it's still the case with them.

@weaponX: Thanks. I love it too. ^^
@RegalStar: Hm, certainly the amount of votes from China hasn't decreased this match, but if you know someone who has trouble accessing the site because of the FB widget, then you should direct them to us. For example, we've received complaints that on some phones, the main page won't load, but that's not China-specific.

Oh and I just had to anti-vote Kanade. |

Also, while I'd love having a more interesting competition (i.e. Kanade losing even though I like her); I think that adding more variables in mid-tournament isn't recommendable, especially on the finals stages. I know it wasn't intentional, but it may have been better to wait for next year to implement it. And.. >that feel when somebody changes their avatar and you don't recognize them ..which reminds me, I asked before if there'd be a place to get all the gifs from this round. Will there be? |
