This doesn't sound very good. I need more information to make a better judgment.

Edit: I just checked on which episodes op Fate/Zero Takahiro worked and not all of the episodes he was the director or he did the storyboard for where bad.

There is still a good change the new Fate/ stay night anime is going to be good, but it seeming to be an original story is making me feel uneasy.

Someone pointed this out to me but they aren't doing an original story. The websites that reported this just goofed on the translations, confusing "adding new content" with "completely new story".

Miura: The content of Fate/Stay Night should be assembled to follow the vector introduced by Fate/Zero, we are following that logic. If we succeed things should become interesting. There is one more thing, from the time I received the post of director I decided one thing. That is to draw precisely the character who is Emiya Shirou. Shirou who is incomplete as a magician and doesn't possess any worthwile talent in the first stage of the story, adding to that Saber who is tied to an incomplete summoning, who doesn't receive enough mana and who can't fight at full strength. Despite this while claiming to Saber "Women shouldn't fights", he still throw himself in the frontine. Drawing him like this could make him a very annoying character with one wrong move. But playing the original game I realized he wasn't just an idiot who wanted to become a hero, but someone who's heart is warped somewhere. Why did he become this way, by understanding and despiting this I'm sure he could become a very attractive protagonist.

I repeat! The bolded part is a mistranslation! There is no "original route" confirmed, it is merely "original content", as in scenes, that were not present in the original VN, but there was nothing at all about a completely new route!

More info: 綾野ましろ (Ayano Mashiro) will sing the OP for the TV anime and Kalafina the ED. The composer of the soundtrack is Hideyuki Fukasawa. He already collaborated with Type-Moon before. He was the lead composer of the Mahou Tsukai no Yoru OST.
