It'd take me about 15 volumes and 6 spin offs to answer that question .... and probably 347+ chapters of manga (that everyone would hate the ending of)

The best candidate for IB would obviously be Fukiyose! She's got female protagonist writen all over her. If you really think about it she is the only "Normal" friend Touma has... everyone else is super powered or out of their freaking minds (Aogami can go into both catagories)

What I recall was that it was a combination of the two. It was akin to
1) if she survives, she used her witch powers to do so
2) if she dies, God sent her to hell.

So for hardcore index fan, what volume was the shortest and what volume was the longest regarding to pages, kinda curious

NT2 and vol 8 were the shortest- less than 200 pages.

As for longest... Not sure, but NT5, vol 18, vol 22 *looked* the thickest when I held it in my hands... Just 3/4 to a full centimeter and it would reach a 'normal' sized Horizon book.

Bishounen battles are only fun if one of them is a trap... at the level of Yukimura or Hideyoshi .... (yes i know Yukimura is not a Bishounen ... but still a very good trap character)
