doesn't most everyone here typically feel like chatting? Setsilya, I'm never sure how your comments go since sometimes I feel like there's a trace of sarcasm in it, or if it's a true compliment I'll take it as a compliment and say thank you! hehheheh

Hmm...let me guess...you put a lens flare behind the render and smudged the render and set it to colour dodge or something? I like the text. But some of the smudging is very awkward.

Lucifus is a new member to AS and I saw his works in the Spice and Wolf sig/avi request thread. They really are amazing and I think he may join the sotm competition. He should open a thread too

Wow, you a beginner? I found that hard to swallow. Very nice stuff!

I'd say all you need is to dump more hours into Photoshop and just refine your techniques. You are pretty skilled, you dont even need my signature. xD

This however is an amazing first attempt! Seriously, i'm jealous of how good you are with text. If its not BankGothic LT or Agency FB, then consider me food for the text monster. The only change i'd make is to the border but thats just a habit since latly i've been using the same border style in my current signatures.

Some nice stuff. Though I admit, some look a lot better than others.

Try to avoid unneccesary borders, like for example the Okami one.
The Neji one is really blurry and the colors are monotone.
For the IshidaxOrihime one, work on the lighting.
The one with the angel is a little bright for me. Lower down the contrast levels a bit.

yeah, I definitely appreciate your tutorials, they're so easy to understand and work with. i've been having fun w/ them ^_^ And NO I love using the sig you made! I have a bad habit (or is it bad?) of using other peoples' sigs instead of just using my own (perhaps I find others more interesting since I know what went into mine, hehe). Yeah, I usually don't have problem with text, although I've been sticking to Bank Gothic and similar lately.

Hmmm, its pretty damn good.

That weird little area in the top right needs more subtle blending though.
Had I been given the choice I wouldn't have necessarily lay the colors on so think but I like the outcome. Though the lighting is kinda flat its consistent and thats what counts. =)

One thing I would have done for sure however is linear dodge some color into the renders eyes, or at least some ovverlay/soft light. Each set the same color as the box beside their names.

Definitly a great job overall.

Absolutely loving this one. I think the style and blending/smoothing of the CD4s are great. COULD do more about the negative space though, iunno just me.
