Light novel 'Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku' is getting an anime adaptation.

Plot Summary:

The highly popular social network game "Magical Girl Raising Project" is a miraculous game that produces real Magical Girls with a chance of 1 in 10000 for each person. Girls who are lucky enough to gain the power of magic spend fulfilling days. But one day, the administration arbitrarily announces that "There are too many magical girls so they will be halved". The curtain will now be raised on the relentless and merciless survival game between 16 magical girls.

So I suppose in 2 weeks we'll have pretty much the whole cast with two more videos.
We've got 9(+Fav) so far so 7 mahou shoujo left.
Except that since they also adapt part of the 4th volumes short stories, we may see a few mahou shoujo from other places in the PV to complete them? or only one more pv with 7 names that time? ~

More exactly, Fav is this series' first arc version of kyuubey since there isn't simply one mascot.

That's the only one we'll see in the anime though x).

Calamity Mary : Inoue Kikuko (that's some veteran here . And I like how one of the most violent girl has Verdandi's voice lol xD )
Magicaroid 44 : Arai Satomi (that's shirai kuroko's voice~)
Mori no Ongakuka Clamberry : Megumi Ogata (another well known veteran ; Shinji Ikari/Ten'ou Haruka)
"the magical girl observing from the shadows" : Hidaka Rina (a well known voice again, last order and so on)

Episode 1

Well that was more lighthearted than what expected...except for perhaps the first few minutes.

We get a little background story too and the main girl always wanted to be a magical girl. Character designs imo looks kinda meh, nothing impressive there although the episode does set up the season somewhat well with the game gimmicks.

I think Koyuki is cute as a button though, especially her in-game avatar :>
Definitely overall lighthearted so far. I kinda like the ED theme song.

The first episode of this series wasn't that good to be honest, cute girls doing cute things all over the place with those weird desings but it fits the topic of this series.

Something that got me at first glance was the start of the episode with those dead/badly injured girl on the floor while the other one seems like it was fighting "something", I wonder what can we see after that. Koyuki's motivations are explained and seems pretty average with that "I always wanted to be a magical girl" but what was nice is looking Sou-chan being a magical girl too, at least we have a male here.

I'm going to keep watching this, expecting what the fans said is true (in most cases is just hyping something too much) but we'll see.

hmmm, so they choose to mix volume 4 short stories with the volume 1 storyline at adequate moment. I had the feeling they would do that, so I'm not surprised, it's the most logical choice.

I had a bit of a WTF moment on the scene before the OP with all the bodies before I understood what scene that was, and I salute the choice for an opener, that was interesting.

For anyone interested, the real short prologue scene of the first volume is actually around the 13th minute in, with the girl who lost her key. Everything before that is prior to volume 1's story.

Due to this however the main story will begin more slowly, not like it's a bad idea imo. It's just that some anime watcher with their usual goldfish-level of attention spawn may not follow the story until it really start so that may lower the popularity and sales overall but.... Well, whatever.

Well, the writing improves later volumes but this anime is just the first arc so it will be OK. But nothing impressive compared to later arcs.
