Hopefully fans will not bother the students there.
And maybe the students can play a joke and cosplay as zombies.

And may be one of the students will bring a dog and let loose on the people that came to see cosplay of zombies. More so one of the student will have a shovel in her hand and start polishing in front of the onlookers inspired by this anime.

Episode 3

Well, just when I think 'Megu-nee' doesn't actually exist (anymore), that ending happens and I'm left wondering again. The part where Shovel Knight is killing zombie-sempai is utterly brutal in its silent simplicity. The flashback ending where it does is brilliant, since we're still left wondering as to what really happened to Megu-nee and the exact moment when Yuki snapped. Oddly enough, Miki is absent from the backstory. Wondering how she fits in to all of this.

Ok I have more questions then answers....

Megu-nee is obviously dead but is she aware she's dead? Seriously watching this with my friends we just kept saying "I don't even know anymore".

I did notice something in the ED though...

Well it does seem likely that the moment Yuki snapped is when the teacher died. She seemed still capable to process the things going on including the shovel killing. I'm not all surprised by that scene. Showed some good survival instincts to actually be able to smash the guy she liked in the head and then continue stabbing almost mindlessly until Yuki tackled her.

It does seem with Miki absent from the flashback this episode and her uncertainty with addressing the teacher that she never actually met her. Next week probably focuses on Miki's flashback and how she initially survived the outbreak at the mall and somehow made her way to the school.

Curious when we'll see the teacher's death and just how it ends up happening. In the end a good leadership figure during a crisis, did a lot of good out there.

I hold by my speculation about Megu-nee's nature especially based on the dialogue in the tent. And what this episode added for me on top of previous episodes was that the others seemed aware of her 'presence' but can't see her. -> Kurumi said 'she's not afraid of Megu-nee.' The gardner, I forgot her name, said she's doing the rounds for them. I just feel there's another layer of meaning to them. Gardener's line may not be that strong but Kurumi's line is highly suggestive to me.

I need to rewatch this at a later date. This is definitely my most awaited show each week.

To me it seems like the girls only react to Megu-nee after Yuki does. Yuki told them she's coming and told them when she left. She's not really there, imho or is a ghost, whihc for some reason I find sorta wierd for this show.

Wow, it's nice to see extended story of an outbreak event. It wasn't there in the manga. More back story for Megu-nee. Voice acting feel kinda lacking though. May be Yuki's VA doesn't cut it for dramatic crying ? All in all, still a good episode.

I think I have a clue how they gonna Knot Miki's route into the story. Let's see if I'm right next episode. One can never know what will the studio do with this anime, not even manga readers.

Yeah they definitely do which is why I originally thought she was a coping mechanism for Yuki but it makes a tad more sense that she is a ghost. I dont think she's not really there since we got so much backstory on her which would be weird if she totally didn't exist. Unless Yuki's mind created it all....(not ruling that out ) but yeah I think she was once alive and now isn't. Since she writes in her journal about protecting the girls Im still on the fence on whether she knows she's dead.

You know, Sempai must have liked Kurumi quite a lot if he came back to school after his graduation just to see her on the track team... and then he got bitten...

I liked the whole background story on how slowly the town sunk in chaos and fire with normal breakfast, emails, sirenes, news of riots, till the moment it was all too late expect for those who found shelter.

Those zombies are quite strong thoug, they seem to be able to rip down doors with their pushing alone. Also they seem to hate windows, maybe because they can't stand to see themselves given the theory that they still have memories from their past life, given how they smashe every single window in school/town.

Dat Kurumi, what a Shovel knight, damn. To do something like that to somebody you love, to who you promised to visit the same college, and that over and over again till the head is finally mush and the body stops moving.... *shudder*

So all 4 of them didn't knew each other.

Also it looks like the people Yuki-chan was talking so happily in her fantasy world actually made fun of her hat, childish behaviour and her grades from the looks of it. Nothing terrible bullying, but ya know, laughing behind somebody's back and whispering/bad-talk, that kinda stuff. Makes Yuki's delusions even sadder. :c

Kurumi's blush is sooooo cuuuuute in that romantic advise talk~ <3 <3 <3

Megu-nee did a lot of good for the girls with creating that school life club. The girls do have a lot to thank her for. Kurumi forgetting about a place for Megu-nee to sleep in on the "camping trip" despite her being there on the table seems to suggest she really is a ghost/delusion of Yuki-chan.

That ending with Megu-nee being in a huge room with many lockers, reading some documents... DOUM DOUM DOOOOUUUUUUUMMM!!!!!

Next episode is about Miki-chan! Yay, second best girl gets her background story!

I seem to remember the same scene in the manga it did look like it was going to be mutual before zombies happened.

They are doing great with the anime, they changed/added/moved around just what they needed to to make a better anime presentation rather than a straight manga to tv transition and it does the job great while not even annoying manga readers. So many little details to notice too.

Ep.3

The flashback in this ep. feel like the mixed of the begining of: World War Z film, the last of us game and highschool of the dead manga.

All scenes where Megumi was alone were never state that it happened in the present or the past ,so you can interpret them in many ways.

Yeah, anime version is doing great with how it changed, switched and added things.

Showing police & ambulance rushing somewhere, TV news being spooky and people acting weird is so Zombicalypse genre. Shawn of the Dead had a brilliantly done one, i.e by showing a hobo eating a pigeon raw and whole for no reason.

My impression is that the outbreak happened when Yuki&co was still in their second year(and Miki in her first). Kurumi's senpai was still in his third year when it happened and things have go on for a year or at least several months now.

Now, that explain why Yuki likes the school "recently" (refer to first episode). I mean with those strange hat and that funny-looking-winged-school-bag, some people would be tickled to make fun of her... and, **ahem**... those people are...
