Hmm, you know thinking about this. If Rudeus manages to get Randolph on his side. Orsted can send Randolph out time to time instead of Rudeus. Randolph gets the bonus of going to other countries and learning many types of cuisine, Rudeus gets a lot of R&R with his family, and Orsted has more resources. Rudeus also gets a new training partner, and by the sounds of it Randolph's fighting style resembles Rudeus in that it just being the most resourceful. He is likely to be a better teacher than Orsted.

Though Aisha will probably benefit the most if Randolph. Having Randolph as a sponsor, it gain much more money as well the wide spread advertisement to expand to other countries.

So I just read chapter 149 and oh did it make me laugh. Kishirika being lured out by food and then captured because she got careless after eating her fill. Also after you found out the reason she was being pursued by Atofe was something as petty as Kishirika drinking her imported wine before she could. And the final kicker being that after Rudeus found out the reason he himself made some magical handcuffs and restrained her.

I'm really looking froward to this arc. So long as they can avoid any major death flags it has the potential for a double win scenario for Rudi when dealing with his opponent.

Spoiler:

If he fights the Death God in battle and winds up killing him he'll inherit the title and be included in the seven great powers just like the Death God did.

The second win scenario would be to win the guy over with secret cooking techniques from another world. And pull off one of his friendship wins creating a new powerful comrade.

As much as I want to see Rudi get the Death God in his camp I want Rudi to get included in the seven powers at some point. Three of the God titles belong to the sword arts so they are a no go. Death God aside there aren't that many for him to go against. Maybe at some point he could go against the Fighting God Toshiden and get a God title from that.

I do love Orsted's confidence in Rudi's strength. He simply tosses Rudi's lack of confidence aside since he went toe to toe with him already. Orsted knows how damn powerful Rudi can be when he gets damn serious and has confidence he could take out one of the seven powers if need be.

Something I found interesting is that Rudolph's specialty is pretty much the same as one of Eris' techniques that she learned from Rujierd.

Namely the one she used to pretty much always win against Nina back when she was training. It was mentioned in the Volume 13 side story.

Rudy probably already experienced that kind of technique from Eris when training together, so I think he would actually be able to deal with it a bit, especially with the help of the precognition magic eye.

It'd be pretty funny if he was recognized as the strongest without an actual title though. Do we know the ages of all the 7 powers? Apart from the ones that are immortal or near immortal. Rudi is probably the youngest candidate.

I am also in the same boat when considering the two options about Randolph. Though I think having the benefit of Randolph as an ally is worth more than becoming one of the Seven Powers.

The benefits I already listed are on my previous post about Randolph being an ally. The benefit of being one of the Seven Powers is just a title. In my opinion, it isn't worth it. Rudeus is already feared and being recognize by Orsted, the most powerful of the Seven Powers is enough for many to say he doesn't have to prove anything and his level of power is already at the level of the Seven Powers. It is similar to Eris in that regard, The Sword God actually stated that Eris is at the level of Sword Emperor and was worthy enough to have the proof of Mastery which the other Sword King and Sword Emperors could't manage to obtain. Enough to make the Sword God to consider Eris could take his title.

But in his training, Rudolph has a breakout with Santa and the title of North God was given to his cousin or something. Atleast that was my conclusion after reading all the spoiler. I could have been wrong though. Kallman I coul had another wife beside Ahtofe and Kallman II was their son.

Shortly after he was born, he trained zealously under the Second Generation together with the now Third Generation.

However, when he was growing up, he had a falling out with the Second Generation.

Leaving the Second Generation, he improved his skills by himself.

The result of that was that he was successful in defeating one of the Seven Great Powers on the Demon Continent.

Randolph received the title of the person he defeated, and became to be known as the 『Death God』.

Thinking of foods to win over Randolph is interesting. Somehow, I am wondering as to why Rudeus not make Takoyaki? Its probably the most easiest Japanese food to make in my opinion. Surely they have green onions, ginger, fried flour bits, octopus, and mountain yam. Though no dashi is really the killer there.

Yes, Kalman II is the son of Atofe and Kalman I, in fact Atofe was the one who taught Kalman II north god style.
