IMO B's problem was that it felt like it was two completely different shows combined into one. And even then, the connection between Keith and Koku felt more like loose crossovers to justify linking Keith's story to Koku's origins.
S2 needs to better integrate Koku and Keith so they're operating on the same plot tangent and get to bounce off each other (and their associates) more. |

Personally I hope S2 can better intertwine Keith and Koku's plots with each other.
IMO (and many others) S1 felt like 2 entirely different shows smashed into each other, and it didn't help the mystery investigation part with Keith felt stronger then the supernatural action part with Koku. |

It's weird that Netflix decided to release half a season instead of waiting for all 12 episodes to finish production. Episode 6 had some rough animation during that fight scene between Brian and the guy with glasses, so I hope Production I.G gets enough time to do a more consistent job with the back half of the season.

http://www.b-animation.jp/note/succession/ Both the creator, Nakazawa Kazuto, and producer Kuroki Rui confirmed they only got 6 eps to play with this time. https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topic...55#msg62394292 They'll definitely need a S3 though, since S2 only feels like a Part 1 of the story. |
