Candy Crush Makers Don't Want to Trademark 'Candy' Anymore

Hah! They finally realize it was a mistake of trademarking "Candy" after the huge negative publicity it made.

The worse thing is than Ted Cruz would be likely to fit well with our Conservative Party if he had to get back to Canada.

Nope, that would be Kansas and Arizona, where they want it to be the 1960s again (but for gays instead of blacks).

Kansas also wants to make beating children ok again, by anyone the parents give the written rights .

The thing is when I hear the religious right speaking about less government or the moral fiber of America, Homer Simpson sums up my thoughts perfectly:

Hey, I remember seeing that on the Daily Show last week. Although, I think I saw somewhere that the governor of Arizona said she would veto that bill. Hell, even their US Senate representatives are against the bill.

If the Six Californias idea went through, this is what would happen to the electoral college via the addition of ten more Senators and the division of the present 55 electoral votes from California. No new House seats are created by this division. Just additional Senate seats.

Population (by new state and their counties), projected representation in Congress for the Six Californias based on census projection for 2012. Number of representatives is based on states with similar population numbers.

Electoral College maps:

Electoral change
Present: 55 electoral votes for Democratic Party
Six Californias (65 electoral votes in this model)

3 definate Electoral votes for the Republican Party + a probable 8 more for 11 red votes.
30 definate Electroral votes for the Democratic Party + a probable 7 more for 37 blue votes.
The 17 votes that could go either way.

This is a gain of 11 votes for the Republicans and a loss of 18 for the Democrats. Though some of that is the new Senators rather than the change of the starting 55 votes for California. Meaning the Republicans gain 7 of the original votes plus 4 new votes for their senators, while the the Democrats lost 7 votes plus 17 unclaimed swing votes until one removes the 6 new senators from their own states plus the swing state's senators (it is assumed the two Democratic Senators from Califoria will count to one of the six states as part of the original 55 votes, with only 10 new Senators worth of votes to be destributed). The swing State of South California could change the dynamic. If the other counties dominate over Orange County (Republican for a long time), than the Democrats would have a total loss of 1 electoral vote from their present number of 55 while the Republican gain only 11 more votes. But if Orange Country manages to keep the others with the Republican Party, than the Republican party has a gain of 28 votes with the Democrats having lost 18 votes from the orignal 55.

Building leptin resistance is hardly the fault of the sellers.

Upskirts by Cops “Legal During Questioning”
TL-Reporting Courtesy of Sankaku.

Quote:
Police have decided not to prosecute or even sack a police officer who took upskirt photographs of 24 policewomen and 14 women using his smartphone concealed in forensics footwear, ruling that neither crime scenes, police interrogations, or police stations constitute “public spaces” for the purposes of anti-voyeurism laws.

A 35-year-old Kagawa prefecture police officer was arrested for taking indecent pictures of 5 women at 4 homes and offices he was dispatched to, which he admitted to with the excuse that he “did it to satisfy my sexual urges.”

After his arrest, searches of his PC turned up not only photos from the scene but also compromising photographs of 24 policewomen taken at police facilities and a further 14 women snapped during his off hours at a supermarket.

He had in fact turned himself into a one man surveillance operation, secreting a smartphone camera in the cover he wore over his sandals to avoid “forensic contamination” and using it to obtain upskirt imagery of the unsuspecting suspects, colleagues and members of the public he came into contact with during the course of his duties.

Despite his confession, the more lurid aspects of the case and the incredible abuse of police powers entailed, all charges against him were dropped and he was instead suspended for 3 months, after which he opted to take voluntary retirement rather than return to duty as an upstanding officer.

Police also dropped a further 14 charges of voyeurism against him on the basis that as the offending photographs were taken at “crime scenes and police facilities” they did not fall under the scope of the “public spaces” in which upskirtism is banned, now handily defined as anywhere police are not conducting official business.

Some prefectures have seen recent efforts to tighten up their typically sloppily worded anti-voyeurism ordinances to more thoroughly outlaw such antics in “public” private spaces – though somehow it might seem doubtful that police will be troubled to enforce the laws on their own questioning.
I think he must have gotten away from the sack by allowing his female colleagues put him in a literal sack and punishing him instead.

If that is so I am expecting a surge in police force applications.
