Gundam SEED in April... pretty quick...

...I'm loving it.
I downloaded the first 5 or so episodes before it was licenced, but...
Now, Gundam SEED is coming to Cartoon Network in April...
It gives me a reason to turn my TV on again...

But am I the only one who sees this as "way too quick" for a NA TV launch?
Hopefully, more anime follow this trend...

cool-o! I really really liked this show, so I can't wait to see it again. Is it going to be on Adult Swim or regular Cartoon Network (maybe Toonami?)

waaaaaaaah

The cartoon network that i get SHOWS NOTHING

non-stop powerpuff girls and the like. The only anime they show here are endless Yugi-Oh, Digimon, Gundam Wing, Crash Gear and that ridiculous yoyo anime.

Although, i have to say that local networks are doing pretty good in the anime front. They started showing Naruto last monday... (dubbed )

Dang, that is fast ... well I saw it already so I'm good
F00k the dubs man and censorship!

Great anime and I'm glad it got shipped to America, despite the dubbing and cenorship issues...

I was under the impression that it was slated for the Saturday evening time slot . . . and late at that . . . I think I read it on ANN . . . was it wrong? And I will be very disappointed if they do put it on Toonami and not Adult Swim; Gundam SEED really is better suited for AS . . .

Toonami is moving to Saturday evenings, and its weekday slot is being taken over by this kiddie oriented (non-anime) block. So that's when Seed will air. Also Toonami will be targeted at teens now, but I doubt the level of censoring will change that much.

Oh ic, well let us hope for the best what ever the outcome may be.
Gundam Seed in general will still be a great hit on American television I believe.

From what I've seen, and due to fixed guidelines and what not, SEED might not have as much editing as you might think.

That and I'm a fan of dubs from Bandai, so I'm hoping this will go well (it will but, yeha)

the saturday night block doesn't face the same censorship that weekday Toonami faces. For instance, they currently show .hack//SIGN at midnight with very very little censorship.
my hunch is SEED will be shown at 11 PM or later
and since this is so quick, the editing will likely be minimal (Cartoon Network seems to be catching on that less editing=more ratings...FLCL, Inuyasha, and Cowboy Bebop probably proved that)

I watched .hack//SIGN back in the day and i dont remember it having anything that would really need to be cut out for cartoon network not like Seed that has plenty. Also im not sure about FLCL but Inuyasha and Cowboy Bebop are both on adult swim where as Seed is going on Toonamie. Even if it is being moved to Saturday evenings its still not made for the same audience that Adult Swim is.

The prelim schedule for toonami has Seed premiering at 9:30 on Saturday. As of now, the content ratings will still be limited to TV-Y7FV. There is talk that they might ease up as times passes.

It'll have to. Later SEED episodes hardly qualify as TV-Y7FV permissible
