Madhouse only did the opening, the new anime scenes were done by Studio Hibari. Though I will say that Madhouse did in fact do all the anime scenes in Persona 4 Arena.

So it would make sense that in Arena he first visited again and then in summer break.

To be fair, It's hard to judge A-1 on a work-by-work basis too since they contract external studios on their projects, although they do have some groups that they tend to stick to. We probably don't have to worry about the Trinity Souls people again.

Well, they would kinda have to finish the Persona 3 movie series before they move on to Arena/Ultimax but years down the line I can see it happening as either a full series or an OVA .

Well... Atlus clearly stated that Arena and Ultimax are the canon conclusion to P4... and P3 as well, so... why not go there after? (Yes, the spin-off is canon.)

However... a few changes MIGHT be necessary:

Spoiler for P4A changes:

- The rule that only the winner can move on would have to be somehow removed, because if we like to get multiple matches, for a 26-episode long series, that might not be possible. I could go with "the winner can move out of the battlefield and the loser must remain and face whoever comes in."
- Who to follow? The manga selected Yosuke, while the game made it a little more obvious that Yu, Teddie, Naoto and Aigis got the most out of the story. Since ach character deserves the spotlight, I'd say that they should focus on pretty much everyone.
- Matches should be half an episode long, the entire episode if necessary. Please note that I'm talking about the actual fighting, not the story around it.
- I'd say that Yu should fight Shadow Labrys, but everyone should fight controlled Labrys after. Yes, I'll have to say goodbye to Elizabeth's intervention against Shadow Labrys and Kanji's awkward arrival seen in Teddie's ending.
- Dialogues should be a mix between scenes. For instance, Yu's first match is against Yosuke, who taunts him that Nanako isn't that important to rescue. After the match, they both realize that something twisted their words... and Yu was mocking Yosuke about his fetish for nurses. However, in Yosuke's story, Yu is adamant to have Yosuke spill the bean on Nanako's location. I would like that both versions be added.
- The Shadows should appear for just about everyone... Yeah, Shadow Labrys can take only one form at the time, but I fail to see how they can appear for everyone.
- Any event from Ultimax should be in a structure that alternates between Episode P4 and Episode P3.

I was thinking of the P3 side of things over in the movie thread; but if they were looking for some new material to work with here, perhaps they could look to Yu's side of the events in Persona Q?

(Since the game offers a different narrative depending on which MC you pick, one could leave Yuki's take on things to the movies, and look at Yu's perspective here.)

I could see Q potentially being adapted as an animated OVA and released to celebrate some important Persona event like an anniversary or something but I think that's a long ways away from happening yet .
