I had to laugh when Iona claimed a bronze saint doesn't stand a chance against a gold saint. He should really rewatch the first series

Protective constellations were brought up again in Omega (by Yuna IIRC), it'd be weird if a Saint could change constellations as he wishes. You're born under one (two if you count the zodiacal signs) and you have to stick with it.

It's decided. Ionia is going to be defeated by either Shiryu or Ryuho. We have to get some fanservice with Excalibur.

I'm hoping they won't go on such a predictable route though.

They don't really

In the sanctuary arc it was either fluke or conditional wins for the most part

Some times the number of episodes may vary. K-on!! was mean to be 12 but ended being 24, and Toei is a studio that tends to do long series.

Especially if it's Toei. For almost all of their series they don't announce the entire dvd list at once, but as they go along instead.

Judging by the timeslot, it's safe to assume this will have an one year-long run. Although the ratings are surpassing Digimon by a good margin (episode 8 doubled Digimon's average), so an extension is unavoidable if Omega keep this up.

It doesn't matter how they won. Their very victory was enough to set a precedent. At the end of the day, they managed to prove it is not impossible for Bronze to defeat Gold, unlike what everybody thought. Not to mention, those very same bronze saints eventually became legends that surpassed their elders. With that in mind, Iona should know better than to underestimate a bronze saint, especially Pegasus.

Episode 08 (the episode where I swear your average show decides to hit the beach) had to be the biggest one yet. So an actual Gold Saint (a badass old man at that) is a traitor and we have a potential love interest for Koga (necessary since Yuna is just as much a bro as any of them and not suited for that role) that'll probably turn out to be his sister or something by the end making this episode retroactively awkward.

This is starting to have all the makings of the good old epic styled (with a hint of melodrama) anime's that have alway been the bread and butter of my anime fandom, but it doesn't miss the point completely on having to actually have gar cool characters to make it all work right, which has been such a bloody pitfall of late that's sunk I don't know how many shows that have tried the whole epic thing. I dunno I'm starting to really like where this shows going again after a bit of a slow and plodding tournament arc. I feel like I'm watching the next set of the Mazin Saga or something here, like I'm getting those gar vibes that I used to get all the time, but now feel so infrequently.

Really funny

Same reaction, but at first I was'nt like: "oh cool", I was like "oh my god, what is that design", like a lot of people I think!

But the first episode gives me really good vibes (well I watched it in a cinema at the world premiere so maybe it explains something

). I had good hope... But episode 2 to 8 gives me nothing. It's an ok shonen, no more. Nothing, no emotion, it looks like a new shonen without "soul". I prefer shonen like Naruto (first episodes with Zabuza/Haku), where I saw why Naruto have success than Omega.

I hope that Omega will be better and better: By the way, the rating for episode 8 is 2,9% due to gold saint

Somtimes it's really bad drawn but in general it was good. Spoiler: Haruto is a cool character, I like him. It reminds me of Naruto , especially his jutsu (substitution! ). And I like his cloth. But I don't understand why he doesn't escape before? Maybe he waited the right moment? Because he doesn't need Koga to pretend that he's sick... He could do it solo no? And he's the first to speak about Yuna's mask o_O. To see the sanctuary with Gold Saints temple, it give so much memory . I don't really like the fact that these 5 saints escape and others no... They let them die? Yeah it was too difficult for them but I'm a bit disappointed... By the way, Geki was epic at the end of the episode. Is he dead? The next episode looks epic, and really well drawn. Umakoshi will work on this episode btw. The preview: Spoiler: ANOTHER GOLD SAINT!!! I really want to know who he is! I think that it will be the Aries gold saint (he 's the first...), but dunno. I would like to see 1 of the bronze five... Kiki as the Aries saint?
