It's not a unit 2 redesign you see other units in the trailer including
unit-03 (apparently possessed)
unit-00 (Blue colored armor)
unit-02 (Red with 4 eyes like before)

And that one which I think was colored black.

Unit03 is the black one.

You see Unit2's eyes, but there's also what looks kind of like a redesign. Perhaps it's one of the other Evas that is just built similarly to Unit2 (like 4 originally was to 3), since I'm sure they'll be bringing in more than one new eva. If what was said about spare parts from scrapped evas from the original series is true.

Maybe they make new armour for Unit 2, like the F-type model for unit01

Throwing in so many extra EVA units reminds me of the Angelic Days manga set in the alternate universe

soundtrack of the first movie is out :3
they renewed some of the old songs, though i still prefer the original of some of them such as Angel Attack but im very happy with it :3 too bad a ran out of cd's >.< gues ill have to stick to my old soundtracks then, there were no scans in mine.. otherwise i wouldve uploaded the pics >.<

I'm happy for a "continuation" of Evangelion. My only problem is that I'm hoping they don't end the "adaption" like the original. If they did I would be pretty annoyed.

. Besides that I have my fingers crossed in hope of this series. I can't wait for the release XD.

Yeah, it's great! I have it. Although I was a tad upset about Shinji's Rant theme song not being on it. Ah well, it was still nice.

i heard somewhere that although Gainax claims that it is a re-make, there are various clues hinting towards the fact that Rebuild is set after Shinji and Asuka are the only ones left and have slightly repeated history. which would explain why i think the story-line might be a little different sometime around...

maybe they'll surprise us

I haven't seen the movie (obviously) but a lot of those rumors seem to be based in the large blood-red gash on the moon, which some fans see as a leftover from Third Impact as seen in EoE. Honestly, it could be anything. It may even go unexplained.

...If it really is a re-occurrence of the same events, I will have to continue thinking that the movies are nothing more than glorified, officially sanctioned fanfiction, because almost all of the "new" ideas presented so far have been covered by fanfics over the past 10 years or so.

im more for the thoughts that there will be more about that last part than that it is set after that part
meaning that i would like to see what actually happens when they are the only two people left
