With every year, the chances of new English PSP game releases go down the gutter, because while the PSP is going strong in Japan, in the west it's more or less dying out. Which is a pity, IMO.

On the other hand, I can't actually recall when was the last new PSP game I played...

Sigh.... If only they would release an english version I would even go out and buy a PSP just to play this game. Maybe its time for me to learn Japanese!

Yes, it's time to learn Japanese

My resolution this year is to learn mandarin and Japanese.

That said, I can understand Japanese, to a limited degree. Unfortunately, it's terms like, XO, CO, call for fire, cover me, attacking this target, clear to engage, break, spike, etc

I don't know about that; the anime snimation is pretty good sure, but the CG game graphics seem limited just as any anime-based video game like Black Cat, or the Iron Man and Captain America games. Low-budget productions made to milk the popularity of the title, as opposed to regular original games like Final Fantasy, Tales of, Dead Space, and such with high budgets.

That said, the fact that this is a full RPG-style game alone means that it's budget is a good deal higher than most other title-milking games.

It would have to be since Sinon uses one, but it looks like the characters might be only able to equip their specific type of weapon.

Well, granted, this is on the PSP, which is not exactly a powerhouse (and is already one generation behind). Of course, that was also chosen to keep the budget in check.

Obviously, I don't really expect that this game is going to stand on the level of a fully standalone high-budget production, but it should still be fun for franchise fans.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3 proved that you don't need cutting edge next-gen graphics if you have solid gameplay.

So if SAO: Infinity Moment has solid and engaging gameplay, we'll forget about the graphics soon enough.

Yeah, I'm not saying the graphics are a bad thing really; you just have games made to milk money from money-making series/movies, and then you have games that are actually the money makers. The former almost never gets as big a budget as the latter, but SAO Infinity Moment is definitely one of the higher-budgeted milking games I've seen. Usually these types of games are straight action or fighting style games (Black Cat, Toaru Majutsu no Index, Iron Man, Captain America), because those are cheaper to make since their playing style is generally limited. RPGs like Infinity Moment though take much more planning and game programming because of the open-area nature of the game environemnt and the high level of customization that you don't have in fighting or straight action games.

Of course, we have yet to see exactly how open-environment Infinity Moment actually is, but it doesn't look limited at least.

I definitely don't argue with that; in fact I could live with less graphics in games considering that a lot of action games tend to sacrifice game length for looking prettier. The Uncharted trilogy has dang good grahpics, but like many action and shooter games, the games aren't very long.

This. Nevermind the same voice actor; his face screams it, his SAO character's bishounen-ness screams it, and his hitting on Asuna in one of those screenshots?

Sugou. No doubt about it.

ASS if he will generate interest among the fans. Asuna and Kirito are enough to play the game.... I will spend my time playing with them and see them flirt... Oops..
