Assuming I'm reading this right, PV should be up tomorrow?

They showed it on the live stream of the Grand Finale stage. I liked what I saw. Mercenary sounds exactly as I was expecting and recognized some scenes. |

Episode 1:
Well this was interesting. Witches exists in this show as part of the story. We got a non-human character as the male protagonist while Zero is introduced as well. Mercenary is quite a badass imo. I thought Mercenary and Zero's meeting is hilarious. Zero is a somewhat interesting character. She has a big appetite but at the same time, she can see through Mercenary's "human face", which kinda interesting as it shows that she has unique abilities as a witch. I think from here, they can develop their relationship further. Overall, decent start. I also kinda like Zero/Mercenary's character chemistry with the teasing coming from Zero.

Episode 1
Hell yeah, that was good and refreshing. Love the interactions between Zero and the Mercernary, both of them starting to work together despite being members of enemy sides. Zero is a miracle of the universe, very interesting character that add some bits of funny moments and information regarding the world. The animation has some QUALITY moments but nothing that can ruin the enjoyment, at least for now. The designs are great without a doubt. Overall a really good start and a must watch this season. |

I enjoyed that more than I expected to. I'm glad they included some background info on the setting and characters quite early (though one or two bits were done clumsily). Helps set up the latter half of the episode better. Pretty nice conversion from the original light novel. So far so good.
If it's not obvious by now, mercenary cat-boy is the "tsundere" one. You'd want to mofumofu him too, right? ED is really cute |

While watching the first episode I kept getting vague memories from another series a looong time ago where the MC had been cursed with a beast's head. Anyone else remember the name of that series?
Liked the first episode, especially the interaction between the beast mercenary and the little witch. Last edited by SeaDoor; 2017-04-10 at 17:38. Reason: OK, I remembered it was called Guin Saga. |
