Honestly, Ichika shows signs of being bisexual. Notice he's really touchy feely with Charles more than he sould, and the fact that he blushed even though he still though she was a he. Rin climbed on him during the beach trip, didn't see him blushing there.

I'd tweak the delivery a bit, but that's cos my style's slightly different.

And I wouldn't consider Japan perfectly safe in my fanon these days. First there's random terror attacks from male chauvanists who somehow have arms, then there's fears of the Caliphate being revived, the [Kingdom of Ea] making a mess of everything, PT's questionably loyalty to Tabane, and then the 1st world seeming to have plans of their own...

I'd say 2 years of smaller, simpler stuff, then all hell breaks loose (where I deviate boldly from canon)
