Help with dvd-burner

here goes..

i had my pioneer dvr-106d for abt 3 weeks now and got it working perfectly through trial and error.

suddenly, my burner started to wreak havoc when i use nero 6.0.1.9 to burn cd and dvds.for cd, the error started only after the progress bar reaches 100%.for dvds, it wont start at all.

so after getting frustrated on having lost 5 error cds, i tried restoring back my computer. well the same thing happened.

please help me anybody and feel free to ask any missing info that you need.
