Just had the thought of our cast so far dancing to Michael Jackon's Thriller on the boat, with the zombies and the fishmen. ...
Hah, if a studio actually did that for Halloween... I would throw money at them regardless. Best I can hope for is for an MMD. XD

Azazel and his lackeys have to be some of the dumbest villains in recent memory.
I think I sensed more chemistry between Favaro and the zombie girl in the mere hours they spent alone with each more than any other pairing in the show so far. It's probably because they're way more wise than they let on unlike Kaisar and Amira. I would've liked to see the characters flesh out more before traveling as a group but, eh, it doesn't matter. I guess they can start doing that now. As usual the action set pieces were epic in scale and continue to be the best part of the show. And I'm still amazed at how well the CG effects blend in with the 2D animation. Definitely top tier stuff. |

Damn, that was pretty intense. I was really looking forward to this episode and it managed to hit all the right spots. I'll really miss this show once it's over..
Poor Amira, Pazuzu really meant business.. Drowning her, keeping her upside down, and hitting her with a chain-like whip until she passed.. Although Cerberus had far worse planned for her.. Glad he got what he deserved, and in typical Favaro-fashion as well! Being shown his thought process instead of Favaro just simply acting without showing the audience what he had intended to do was a really neat touch. Ah, so we were right about Lucifer being Azazel and co.'s boss. I do find it strange that Satan is just napping while Bahamut is close to reviving.. Maybe he's just biding his strength until Bahamut returns again? I thought Satan was the figure that appeared when Azazel tried to extract the God Key from Amira, but he didn't have his horns.. yet was powerful enough to knock back Azazel. I'm really content with how the show handled Favaro deciding to rescue those two. They've been nothing but hindrances to him and it wouldn't have been very consistent to his character if he had just decided that he absolutely had to rescue them. Even once he actually did, there were moments where he hesitated. I just noticed that Favaro wears his father's hat on his back. He seems really fond of his old man. Speaking of, the way that knight looked into the distance really seemed to imply he might be Amira's father/uncle.. Why? I wouldn't say they're the smartest villains around but they're definitely not the dumbest.. Cerberus doesn't seem to hold Azazel in high regard, Pazuzu was too focused on locating Amira to care about the two puny humans who seemingly did him in. And Azazel himself? Well, I guess he didn't foresee the knights' trap or something being able to repel him from Amira's body.. |

1) Ship Sexy has sunk. Well, it was decapitated.
2) Rita is the best. 2a) Seriously, the part where she THREW HER ARM AT KAISAR and was like "stfu brat", that was so awesome. 3) I wish we'd seen a bit more of Kaisar raging and kicking Favaro's ass, but the episode had a lot going on... the curse of one-cour. Still, it was pretty epic. Poor Kaisar, he's stupid of course but it must be pretty shitty to live with this kind of pain and helpless anger. (And it's not like he actually knows the truth.) I'm looking forward to him being all awkwardly hostile to Favaro from now on, perhaps he and Favaro will be able to compare notes on the stolen tribute incident and figure out what really happened. 3a) Still, I'm kind of sad that we probably won't see them dueling like this again. 3b) Also, it seems like Kaisar is in fact the stronger of the two...? At least going by pure power. Favaro is more resourceful and more willing to fight dirty. 4) So good to hear Morita Masakazu in this role. Sure, he's being all eeevil, but that voice when he realizes who Kaisar and Favaro are? Mmmmm. It's easy to forget that he can do a great ikemen voice if he wants to. 4a) Basically, Favaro, Kaisar and Rita need Akutabe and Sakuma. XD (Please someone do a crossover with the two Azazels swapping places... preferrably the two Lucifers, too. ) 5) Oooohh, so this is what Jeanne & Co have been waiting for all these episodes! I was wondering where they were and what they were doing. I do wonder how whatshisface, Jeanne's right hand man knew that Amira was on Ship Sexy. Was it the pendant? Who is he to her, anyway? All in all, great episode again, Rita is the best, I want to hug poor Kaisar and Amira, and Favaro needs to find himself a job and fast. (Sure, right now Kaisar could just turn him in, but there's no way he's going to do that. ) ETA Apparently Inoue Gou's (Kaisar) vocal chords got busted while recording this episode. Ouch. Another great episode. I am really growing fond of Rita. How she stopped Kaiser by throwing her arm was just perfect. The conflict between Favoro and Kaiser has at least been put on hold for now but it is still has to be resolved.
Also the knight that was looking out in the distance at the end gives me the feeling he might be Amira's father or closely related to her.

I don't know why, but when Cerberus broke up the little spat between her hand puppets, it was so freaking cute... I need help... -.-
And that pawnch~ It's been a while since we've seen a punch worthy of the 'Falcon Punch' meme.

I also loved how she pretty much went "lol bye" when the situation turned bad on Ship Sexy, leaving poor Azazel there. What a horrible colleague. XDD Apropos demons, I wonder if we'll see Lucifer in the next episode. Azazel will have to report this to the boss... |

Oh Rita, I seriously just want to eat you up. xD That arm throw was awesome.
Cerberus hasn't really done much for me but her breaking up that fight between her hand puppets, and then the way she skedaddled out of there was funny and cute. With the four of them embarking off together I await with bated breath to see what they get up to. |

If Favaro was still a bounty hunter, it wouldn't be hard to maintain trip funds, but now, only Kaiser will be the breadwinner. But he could take on some S-rank bounties with this crew he's got.
I guess that Amira will learn that Favaro has been lying to her about knowing how to get to Helheim all this time but with him rescuing her, she might forgive it... after a few slaps.

FAVAROOOOOOO! "Gregor is dead, Cerberus ran away, Azazel's a fodder" edition.
The Afro Bounty hunter Zombie team is much better than I expected. Threatening a god and his god-duck with a knife in public is something you don't see everyday. I hope his bounty gets higher thanks to that improvised act of terrorism.
Kaisar yo, that guy held a god hostage and quit his job to save your pompadour, and even babysat your loli in your absence. Show some respect you ungrateful bastard. Anyway I have to give props to whoever came up with that Azazel/Kaisar scene, I can't remember the last time I've laughed at the same time as a character inside the screen. "She's been manipulated by a demon named FAVARO!" I couldn't believe he actually said that. "FAVARO is the mastermind!" And then I lost it. Holy crap, Kaisar.

I think on some level Favaro also blames himself for getting both his and Kaisar's family killed. That's why for such a no-nonsense kind of guy who generally only looks out for himself he puts up with Kaisar trying to kill him.
Also, it's amazing how this anime keeps topping itself with each new episode. |

Ep 05
Count me in on those who were impressed by Rita in this ep. Insta air transport, eh? Never would have thought of that. And she was doing quite a number on the skeletons, too. And yeah...feel sorry for Kaisar, but in my opinion he kinda deserved that flying punch, even if he was impressive before that and part of me kinda liked for Favaro to be fed a little humble pie for a change...though I kinda doubt it will do much. Still not a lot to the story for me depth wise, but it is an enjoyable watch on the whole, I guess.
