^My guess is that if the anime does turn out successful, then DR Zero will be animated next, followed by the sequel. But I guess it also depends on whether or not the anime will alter the original story's plot.....

I've heard some people say that the manga version of the series made a few unwise changes which weakened the emphasis and characterisation. So, I really hope they'll be faithfully adapting the game in the anime version.

If they alter the plot, it'll be really strange. Chances are they won't, though. If they alter DR1's plot, they'll probably have to change the plot of DR Zero and DR2, and that's a lot of effort to go to. It's not as if they're working with a story where they don't know the ending.

As duckroll posted, same cast as game and Lerche will be the studio.

Danganronpa Zero would be hard to do in anime form. Its main twist relies too much on a narrative trick that's hard to pull off in a visual medium without cheating.

Good point, though I already pointed out that it depends on whether or not the DR1's plot is altered in the first place. Another possible option I can see the anime version doing is sort of splicing parts of Zero in between DR2 if it ever reaches that point (which, coincidentally, is precisely what SA's DR2 LP is doing right now! ).

I think DR0 might work better as a OVA title, that way a studio can adapt the show in a way that still faithful to the novel. OVA's tend to have more freedom to play with a series' structure.

If this doesn't get you psyched for the anime, nothing will.

The production of 1/8 scales of Nanami Chiaki and Kirigiri Kyouko was decided.

However, probably Enoshima Junko comes earlier than it.

I would have prefered a Ibuki Mioda figure. Maybe if the first series is done well we'll get one the second one animated and my figure wish will be granted! Here's hoping the animation will be as crazy and gory as I hope! (I know it's not going to be a blood feast, but I hope the violence isn't going to be toned down and the ecchi toned up)

I hope we get nendoroids for the series' entire cast (the sequel and Zero included).....

That being said, was the premiere date for the anime announced yet? There hasn't really been much news about it since the initial reveal.

I'm more curious how they will deal with backgrounds since in the game they were quite unusual.

Personally, I think it would be cool if the anime kept the pop-up book style of the games, but that's just me.

I'm still more interested in seeing how the anime will handle the trial scenes, though.....
