Agreed. The comedy's great, but it's secondary compared to the development I want to see happening between characters, especially the two main characters of the show.

Been watching Nagasarete Airantou and I'm kinda sad there's no Chikage love everyone seems to lean to Machi more. Kinda sad also that there's no Chikage episode/half episode until now.

Well Yukino and Chikage looked about right to me. And I actually guess right with Ikuto being 14. But I took Suzu and Ayane to be 14 or 15. And I knew Machi was 18.

But...what 13 year old girl has body proportions like that? Besides Suzu and Ayane(Who should be switched, although as I said I thought Ayane was 14 or 15) the others look right...well minus runt Machi but she must have growth problems.

I must live in another world. 11-14 year olds are not touched in romantic situation hardly and never touched with sex(When Ikuto was told he needed to repopulate, that meant even with the young ones.) I know that females hit puberty young and there have even been mothers as young as 12-13...but..damn... I think in the US this could be considered boarderline pedofilia with the suggestive scenes.

By modern society standards - yes. But the island seems pretty much from a more ancient period as far as traditions etc are concerned. Thus, "old enough to breed" would be how they view things, probably. Suzu has, most certainly, underwent puberty

Now that would be quite impossible, since Ikuto is as young as Suzu. (Ok, 1 year older, but that doesn't matter).

I think he was referring to the people who watch the anime as pedofiles..

Sure Ikuto's and Suzu's relationship isn't counted as pedofilia, but anyone who watches it could be considered one.
