Interesting trivia about the last episode is that it was directed by Morio Hatano, the head director of the first season (although he only directed episodes 1 and 51). I thought he had left.

It's nice to see the story moving and things finally happening (another Pallasite is killed off, Pallas starts growing up). Souma standing up to Kouga, and gasp, Ryuhou being useful! Art and animation were pretty good too, it was great seeing Rolling Crash again.

Well, if anything this episode is showing the Steel Saints aren't useless, although their duty is still pretty sad.

Romance has never been the franchise's strong point. There is always the first time though.

Ahhh I remember that, my head was screaming that there is no way in hell Shun is a he and that was the first time I decided to ignore canon fact in an effort to save my innocent childhood...

That also makes me understood years later how others think concerning Hideyoshi in Baka Test...

The Steel Saint angle didn't sound a very good addition back when Subaru and such were announced, and from what I've heard from fans whose first experience of Saint Seiya isn't Omega, the Steel Saints were pretty lousy fillers in previous versions of the series. That makes it even more surprising to see how well Omega is using the steel saints. For some reason they seem to be getting the best episodes and writing. I'm quite impressed by that. Rather than being the weak point of the series, they're one of the highlights.

^Some of those arts are actually pretty funny.

And yeah, i agree about the Steel Saints angle. They're providing a "common folks" view that SS rarely delivered.

The class 1 Pallasites' armor don't look like chronotechs at all to me. They're suspiciously similar to new cloths, but it might simply be because the designer's got a huge boner for those horrid gems. Titan's armor looks like a mix of dragon and pegasus god cloths.
