I'm must miltly interested in their motivation. But maybe I should just go and take a look. Should I?

Beast's Lair isn't that bad actually. Having complaints about the adaptation is perfectly normal, but I don't see them constantly whine or bash the director, like a certain group of people at MAL does. It's a Type-Moon forum, so while there actually is a thread for anime-only people, it is almost unused and the majority has read the VN.

As for MAL, as I've said before, it's only a certain group which can't stop making the same complaints over and over again. There are obviously other VN readers, who are far more moderate.

A post here or there max, but absolutely not another waste of 10 pages about trivial things like "oh no, Shirou stumbled for a few frames, people will think he is stupid!" Seriously... they should calm down and not just look at the negative things.
Yeah, I used to visit that forum for a while. Now, I've just stopped going there completely. I can understand there being a few problems, but the excessive amounts of whining about things that are not true is starting to become aggravating. I remember one poster on there who kept on whining and other things negative that it's tough to take him seriously. Makes me glad that there are some people who can think calmly.

Actually there were many VN readers there who enjoyed the adaption. But it looks like they don't bother posting there anymore. So the forum is filled with salts now.

It's a shame cuz MAL was quite fun in Season 1.

Btw, is there any scene that had been cut from this episode?

As far as I know --

1) Shirou searching for Rin.
2) Caster torturing Saber.
3) Brief fight with Kuzuki/Archer (not sure about this one)

I don't think 3) was in the episode.

spoilers were outright WRONG at times. For example one of the spoilers said that Shirou jumped out only after Archer already negotiated Rin's freedom, but as we could see in this episode, that is not true. Another spoiler said that Rin "kicked" Shirou, but we know that she actually only pushed him from behind.

I'm pretty sure those simply wrong too and not "left for BD release". Negotiating Rin's freedom is a good example (since the TV showing already matches the VN).

The "kicking" could just be a mistranslation or an overlap in meanings between the languages.

Well, but the push was a cute reaction to Shirou's bold confession. While kicking sounds really violent.

What I meant is that the original poster could have used a word that in Japanese can mean "kick" (among other meanings) but obviously doesn't in this context.

Depends on person. I thought of the entire episode as one of the best in the entire series.

The opinions about EP14 seem to be very diverse as far as I can tell.

How can you not like the episode, it was just so damn good.

It had everything for Caster that I wanted badly in the VN.

I enjoyed it alot. I felt bad for caster. She had a real loser for a master. I would have treated her far better. I think I would give episode 14 a 9 out of 10.
