a very enjoyable episode 4. The part with Souma calling Inami is just hilarious! At least, Souma is trying though. I'm surprised that Inami didn't punch Takanashi at the end when he showed up. Anyway, not a bad episode.

its nice seeing inami is improving but i really want to see and know more about poplar...
its like if i'm takanashi, i can tolerate inami's abuses as long as i can see my very very cute sempai...lol... i'm really not fond of characters like her in most animes i watched, but i don't know...she's so charming and adorable...its like i also want to hug her like my little cute sister...hahaha... |

This episode really makes me think about certain things with the show. I had some negativity with it, but I'm seeing a lot of the great things about the show that have been shown off in this episode.
+I think everyone in the cast has accepted each others' oddities, with Kyouko, Souta and Poplar...but I think they only get worried with when it comes to how crazy Yachiyo or Inami here. +Satou and Souma are hilarious. I really wish they got the focus over all...they are such a fun duo. +They handled something realistic for once with "Restaurant Stress" where they were understaffed and still did everything. Made everything feel a bit more organic and it proved not everyone needs to be in the scene. +Taneshima having all those hairstyle changes. Her hair must naturally have styling gel in it. XD -This episode kind of brings up the question...why is Inami a server? Or why is Souma a cook? Souma feels more like an assistant to Satou than anything, and Inami was able to do things in the kitchen. Why can't they just swap positions? Yes yes, Satou is a man but Inami has never hit him. -Everyone telling Inami "Takanashi isn't here." ...I really don't want this show to have a bent towards that pairing and everyone knowing it and forcing it. That's not really entertainment. -Inami said she was going to handle her Androphobia, she's not doing it. I thought this would be the episode where she could prove it but...not happening. -I'm sooooooooooo not looking forward to the next episode. If it's just going to be a drunk, a melancholic and nagging law-woman abusing Souta around, I don't wanna watch that. |

Caught on this series today. Man Popura is really just cute <3, hope she continues to get decent amount of scene time. I have it say it has some good comedy better than Mayoi Neko Overruns has been for sure, so worth watching, and keeping up with. Though I think B Gata H Kei is best comedy this season . I'll give Working an 8/10 from me currently.

I think you're missing the point here, though. The reason she can hold back and doesn't hit anyone else is because Takanashi was there. Telling her that he's not there is the same as saying "your punching bag isn't here, so behave, ok?"

Although enjoyed Episode 5 a bit, I was a bit disappointed. How much longer they are going to have this gag where Inami puches men... I mean, it's getting real old fast and feeling that if they keep overdoing this, I think it will become one of the flaws in this show... This is one of the reasons that she became the least favorite character in the show... She needs to solve her Arrhenphobia now! This show has a lot of potential, but it is failing to the ditch of never ending jokes that have been used over and over again and not being fresh.

It's interesting that despite the fact that they've been downplaying Inami's attacks since the second episode by cutting away from a lot of the actual hits and greatly shortening the length of the assaults, people are still complaining about it like it's the center issue presented in each episode.
Once bias starts it seems it's hard to stop. |

I just thought that her phobia was just never funny in the way it manifested itself. I find it bearable in the situations where she's hiding, but not when she lashes out. By showing Takanashi's fat lip and bleeding chin in the first episode, I can't conceive any of it as slapstick and have to take it seriously.
So until the violence part is gone, I will, like others here, consider Inami a weakness in this cast. Also, it's amazing how much a Dude Not Funny gag will remove any chuckles still going from earlier gags.

Anyways I enjoyed episode 5. That bit where Satou was coming up with that meeting Inami scenario and just said "think for yourself" was gold . Anyways for me Inami is still my favourite character in the show. I can just appreciate the regret she does show after something happens. She really dislikes having that reaction and is seriously pushing herself. Of course can't just break a phobia easily. There is some growth though the day she can normally interact with male customers is probably a long way off still. Liked that little talk at the end since I think even Takanashi can understand her feelings. Obviously he's not a fan of getting beaten up, but he's a good enough guy to know there isn't any malice and she does regret it. I'm still a bit more worried about Yachiyo. Long as no one else likes Kyouko then things are fine. Sadly lives could be in jeopardy if someone like that did show up. Think Satou should just give up since there isn't any hope. Not sure how Yachiyo would respond if she actually figured out his feelings. That doesn't seem likely to happen soon. Though now the only one for her to misunderstand him being interested in is Inami.

Poplar's shortness jokes (from Souta taking his anger out on her) Yachiyo's yandere side and obliviousness to love (ot3?) Takanashi's pedophilia and obsession with 'cute things' Kyoko's imcompetence and Yakuza friends Show gets weirder everyday. So Yachiyo is in love with Kyoko and Souta also likes her but she is completely oblivious. Souta as a result takes this out on Poplar (not so Poplar anymore) with the winner being Kyoko getting food from the two. Meanwhile Inami...I can't tell if she's using a fist of love or giving a knee-jerk reaction anymore. Either way, I'm laughing at Katanahi's abuse and the constant repairs the end result being a more money for repairs. Quote:

About Inami androphobia punching gag, honestly I don't like her being too violent, but we can see that she's really trying to overcome it. You can say that she's not trying hard enough, but at least Takanashi (her main victim) calls her out on it instead of simply taking it in stride. On a separate note, I feel that the show needs more Poplar. |

Poplar really does deserve some extra screentime. For that reason, I'm not really looking forward to the next episode either, away from the restaurant and focused on Takanashi's sisters. On the other hand, episode 5 somewhat left me with the same feeling as episode 3, which is that they're running out of material to cover in the restaurant setting...well, I guess I'm hoping we'll get to meet that glasses girl in the OP soon.
Also, yeah, I totally agree: the Satou-Yachiyo-Kyouko 3way needs to happen. lol, to be honest, I had almost no reaction to Yachiyo when we were first introduced to her character design, but I'll say it again: there is something unbearably kinky about her denseness and her cluelessness. At the very least, Satou's ability to strike fear into her this episode is a positive sign--this shows that Yachiyo is very aware of Satou's presence and attention on her, which just means she'd be all the more sensitive if he made a move on her. I pretty much thought it was completely hopeless when we were first told about Satou's crush, but with each passing episode, for me, his chances have actually been getting better. |

Agreed; after all, we have no confirmation of Kyouko's sexuality. Yachiyo doesn't seem to be a lesbian as much as she's strictly Kyouko-sexual anyway, and if Kyouko doesn't swing that way there's always Satou there for her. A Satou-Yachiyo-Kyouko 3way IS infinitely better though...
