Ha, Youki is absurdly strong to a ridiculous degree.

In his human form, most of his power is cut, and even then he is strong enough to curb stomp a yuusha (this actually happens at one point). At his "full power" he can easily deal a Yuusha and his party as if they were a tutorial stage, and in that world there it seems to be nothing stronger than either the Yuusha or the Maoh.

He was adviced by Cecilia to "lay low" and don't show his strenght & abilities, since that would catch too many attention, she hinted that countries that are into power struggles and stuff might want to recruit him, even if by force.

Even without trying to hog too much exposure, he goes from rookie adventurer to B-class in 6 months. (He also gets tacit approval from Cecilia's mother , who will constantly create chances for the two of them to be alone; such as, sending her in an away mission with him as an escort).

His "cheat" ability is something like "infinite MP", he usually doesn't fight with a weapon because between his magical skill and his body strenght is more than enough (I think he can move at super sonic speeds ), he only uses swords when he tries to "appear normal", he also doesn't need a special sword (he can enchant them).


..... There it has been times when he has tried to use all of his power to achieve an objective or for a just cause, but thanks to the tricks of fate those times will eventually come to be his dark history, to which he will cringe in agony and embarrassment whenever they are brought up

Another thing that gives a "classic feeling" is that the love rival is not "unlikeable", and in fact the MC has little reason to be jealous of him (though the rival is pretty jealous of the MC ).

Bottom line? Cecilia is super cute, they should just hug already.

-he is going out with that vice chief for a walk
-they got himself arrived at bazaar
-Youki geot interested with some cool looking armor and weird shaped sword and bought them then wear them
-then along with vice chief going back to the adventurer guild and taking three S-class quest alone, then going out to do them
-before he left he tell the front desk girl that his name is Swordman of Black Lightning[or something along that I forgot which one]
-in the last mission to subjugates the bandits he meet wit Raven and Duke.
-Duke immediately recognized that it was him all along
-actually not to mention Duke, all his close friends[three former subordinate and Cecilia] immediately recognized it was him[Cecilia didn't even need to meet him to know that].
-the reason is[he is the only one strong enough, and childlish enough to pull that stunt.
-after he handed the quest completion, he faced with hard truth that [Swordman of Black Lightning] become very famous as a strange but very strong guy[yeah not a cool one]
-then that suit is sealed forever.
-later, the event of him going Chu2 become a laughing stock for his former subordinate

Hmm, I was already interested after reading the few translations but this sold me.

Everyone knows Head Maid is the most broken class in RPG's as they are the ultimate class of the maid which in itself has all the abilities of the Ninja, Alchemist , and in many cases the summoner classes and can gain XP just by doing house work. Plus they have minions of the above maids.

Yeah this was more like Romcom without harem element than fantasy, unfortunately it's not that good of a com IMO (despite his mental age the MC act like some kind of shonen jump romance series protag). I would have abandoned it if it not for the fantasy setting, and the author should really stop reciting past events, or things that happen just one chapter ago just to boost word counts.

That said, it's probably a good relaxing series to read once a week.

Seems like a pretty cute series. I looked through up to 14 with a MT. The accidental double date in which Yuuga (the hero) acted like an idiot. I feel bad for Mikana (the mage) for having to deal with such a clueless childhood friend. Most of the characters seem likeable, despite Youki's first impressions of the others in the hero's party. Do they ever realize that he's the same guy as the demon that was curb-stomping them in battle?

Edit: through 19. Does Seek just act childlike because he's a pixie, or is he actually a child? Duke (the Dullahan) is working as a knight now, right? And why exactly did Happiness (the harpy) turn down Raven's confession (the swordsman from the Hero's party) at first? It seemed to be saying she had a phobia of human men.
