template syl,{\an5\move($center,$middle,$center,!$middle-30!,$start,$end)\t($start,$end,\fscx200\fscy200\1a &HFF&\2a&HFF&\3a&HFF&\4a&HFF&)}
Very straightforward: Move upwards. Scale up. Fade out.

karaoke placement
I want to create simple karaoke... goes like this.
using template syl; Code: Quote:
the video is 704x396 res. the placement sucks. there is at least 16px gap between each syl 139-124=13px along the X axs I am pretty much lost here (dont have much experince yet with other then "template line". for example: Code: Quote:
what do I need to change in order to change the gap between each syl created. |

I'm pretty sure that is because your script resolution is 640x480 (Aegisub default).
To fix it, you have to go to Tools - Resample Resolution (I think? It's in one of the menus at least...) and change it to whatever resolution your video is. If it's widescreen you're probably best off putting 704x396. The placements get messed up because when rendered they simply stretch the script resolution so it matches up with the video That should fix your problem (I'm pretty sure you mean that. I hope you don't mean 16px difference in the script, because it usually is around that or bigger when I do it... If you've watched it in a video, or sample video with pre-releases of Aegisub 2 then the above should work. If not, then do that ) |

Is there anyway to do a slash type of effect in ASS?
What I mean is kinda like the Shinsen/Ureshii OP for Code Geass, where the syllable is cut in half and one side would go up/right and one side would go down/left. The only way I could think of doing it in ASS would require about 2 billion lines of \clip and \move, so I'm wondering if there is any other way?

(Also, there's a newer version of Aegisub out but it shouldn't make a difference for this.)

I'm using sub station alpha and have been trying for a while to fix this effect. Originally used crumja's effect thing but it wasn't doing exactly what I wanted to do so I went in with notepad and started fiddling around. I'm almost done with this karaoke but this one line just won't light up on the right times. Without the effect the timing is perfect. Once the effect is plugged in the end of this line dissapears way before the singer is done.
can someone please help me? (remember, I'm just a beginner to so it wouldn't surprise me if it was something very simple.) Code:
Dialogue: Marked=0,0:03:34.36,0:03:37.01,*Default,,0000,0000,0000,Karaoke, {\org(120000,-50000)}{\r\q2\be1\shad0\t(0,500,\alpha&HFF&)}{\k30}hi{\r\q2 \be1\shad0\t(501,900,\alpha&HFF&)}{\k15}ka{\r\q2\be1\shad0\t (901,1020,\alpha&HFF&)}{\k10}ri {\r\q2\be1\shad0\t(1021,1150,\alpha&HFF&)} {\k15}ga {\r\q2\be1\shad0\t(1151,1280,\alpha&HFF&)}{\k10}a{\r\q2\be1\shad0\t (1281,1390,\alpha&HFF&)}{\k15}ru {\r\q2\be1\shad0\t(1391,1480,\alpha&HFF&)} {\k28}ko{\r\q2\be1\shad0\t(1481,1590,\alpha&HFF&)}{\k28}to {\r\q2\be1\shad0 \t(1591,1699,\alpha&HFF&)}{\k24}ni {\r\q2\be1\shad0\t (1700,1800,\alpha&HFF&)}{\k20}ki{\r\q2\be1\shad0\t(1801,1920,\alpha&HFF&)} {\k25}du{\r\q2\be1\shad0\t(1921,2042,\alpha&HFF&)}{\k25}ku {\r\q2\be1\shad0 \t(2043,2190,\alpha&HFF&))}{\k20}no |

adding up all the \k time, the \k time is greater than the largest \t time that fades out the line, so the whole line fades out (and out of sync for the most part throughout the line) before the \k wipe is done with the line. it seems that the \t interval (in milliseconds) needs to match the \k time (in centiseconds)

I need a help too. Here's a piece from my code :
Code:
{\r\alpha&HFF&\t(0,225,\fscx115\fscy115)\t(225,450,\fscx100\fscy100)\t(0,450,\1c&HFDB89F&)\t(0,0.45,\alpha&H00&)\t(450,450,\alpha&HFF)}ya {\r\alpha&HFF&\t(450,550,\fscx115\fscy115)\t(550,650,\fscx100\fscy100)\t(450,650,\1c&HFDB89F&)\t(450,450.2,\alpha&H00&)\t(650,650,\alpha&HFF)}wa I'd seached the code, but nothing comes on my mind, what can be... |

Well, this:
Code:
\t(0,0.45,\alpha&H00&) Code:
\t(450,450.2,\alpha&H00&) Apart from that though it looks OK, but doing animated scalings with one line and \r is kind of a bad idea since it'll make the entire line "bounce" since the syllables move to accommodate the growth of their neighbors.

Uhm, I'm alredy used to karaoke, I do that for a long time by now. But today happened to me to do something REALLY stupid. I was timing the \k, did it to the middle of the song, and then went to test the times with the effect. I applied the \t and so, and then I saved it and closed. But then I saw the stupidity I've made... I've saved the script in \t, and lost all the times that I've made before. Is there any way to turn \t back to \k? I don't want to re-time it all x__x
Autosave and Autoback saved the \t script. Dunno what to do x_x Thank you ^^' |

It should be pretty trivial to write an automation4 macro to do it, but you'd have to tweak it to your \t tags since it wouldn't possible to detect what timings represent a syllable and what timings don't.
